We purchased our 540 series BMW a few months ago. Overall dealership experience was excellent. I rode as a passenger in the back seat recently and realized hot air was blowing from the rear center co Overall dealership experience was excellent. I rode as a passenger in the back seat recently and realized hot air was blowing from the rear center console. Front seat air was set at 70 degrees. I called the dealership to set up an appointment. That’s when things turned south. Service advisor Robert Trammell “mansplained” that I needed to set the rear air temp on the console or set it in the idrive. Bring it in he said…I’ll show you how it works. There is no rear temp controls or settings in idrive on the new 540’s. I brought the car in and the answer from Robert Trammell was, “well you purchased a base model so you’ll have to set max ac in the front to trick the system into blowing cold in the rear seats.” Pretty sure that’s not what BMW had in mind with their German engineering. I feel if that’s the true design we should have been informed before our purchase. This was our 12th new BMW…pretty sure it will be the last! Well played Robert. I LOVE my Audi A6 Prestige more and more everyday. More
