If you’re a BMW “enthusiast” like I am then BMW Northwest is where you want to take your car for service. If you’re new to the dealership then ask for Elizabeth Scellato as your service advisor. I’m sure the is where you want to take your car for service. If you’re new to the dealership then ask for Elizabeth Scellato as your service advisor. I’m sure they are all great but “Liz” is the BEST! If you are like me then it pains you to leave your car in someone else’s care. My car is one of my favorite possessions but I don’t have a second thought about leaving it with Liz or the great mechanics at BMW Northwest. They will treat it with the greatest respect and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of work or service that they provide. Every detail will be attended to and and the communication during service is as good as it gets. You will never be left wondering what is happening with your car. Some people sometimes fear dealer pricing and look for alternatives but I’ve found them to be no more expensive than other shops in the area and the quality of service is far above those other shops in my experience. Also, while my car is there I’m happily driving around in a brand new loaner car from BMW. That perk alone is is worth your consideration. It certainly takes the sting out of leaving your car for a day or two to be serviced and it’s pretty fun playing with all the latest technology from BMW. I can go on all day hyping them up here but all I can say is give them a chance to service your car. You and your car will be better for it. More
David Quinn is a great services advisor! He thoroughly explained what was done and what needed to be done to fix my car. Additionally, he made me feel comfortable and not pressured. One of the worst experiences of my life. The only reason this is getting two stars instead of one is that I could tell my service advisor was doing his best but that shop is such an utter mess a lot was out this is getting two stars instead of one is that I could tell my service advisor was doing his best but that shop is such an utter mess a lot was out of his control. I admit my situation was complicated but boy did they screw it up at every possible turn and in every possible way. My car was in the BMW Northwest shop from March 27th until June 12th. This alone is ridiculous. A water leak in the trunk from a failed trunk seal (apparently a frequent problem of BMWs) had ruined the hardtop convertible components. The estimated cost to repair was $11-13k. Lucky for me my insurance company stepped up and covered a large percentage of the bill. This goes back so long ago I barely remember where the problems started. But between diagnosing the problem and getting my insurance in to investigate I know it has been in the shop for a couple of weeks before any progress began. From there it was many more weeks to get the parts in. Not just like a week or two. It was enough time you could have walked the parts from Germany. Once the parts did arrive they seemed to have trouble getting anybody to work on the car. The car sat, with parts in stock, for several more weeks. Then once they did finally get to working on it they dented the car during the repair and it had to go to their body shop. Where once again it sat. I had to beg them to try to fit in it a couple of weeks ago. When I picked it up this past Saturday the bodywork wasn’t even completely finished. They said I could bring it back in and they would finish it. Gee thanks. All along both me and my insurance agent were kept pretty in the dark as to what was actually happening. I could get them on the phone but I was given nothing but excuses. I tried to maintain a sense of humor about it but it was truly unbelievable. My insurance agent said he had never experienced as much disfunction as he did with this shop and he's seen some things. The worst part of all of this besides all of it is that they did nothing to try to make it up to me. I never even got offered a loaner car! I asked once and I couldn’t even get a courtesy ride to the shop. They charged me and my insurance full price. I can’t believe I paid money for this experience. As poorly as this short review may read you should know the actual experience was far worse. Like I said my service advisor was decent enough guy so I’m giving him an extra star here. I truly blame management for taking no interest in a car that sat on their docket of repairs for over two months. They did nothing to speed it up or make it right. Just charged me full price and gave me back a car with some new body damage. I immediately sold the car the day after I picked it up because of how bad this experience was. I will not only never spend another dollar at BMW Northwest, I will never buy a BMW again. They will both be fine without my money but if you’re reading this I would encourage you to look anywhere else for service or sales. They just don’t care about you. More
Customer service was far lower than one would hope for at a BMW dealership. When I asked about being slightly over on mileage and what BMW would pay for versus myself my service advisor made no attempt to h a BMW dealership. When I asked about being slightly over on mileage and what BMW would pay for versus myself my service advisor made no attempt to help solve the problem. When I got upset he put in the documentation that I refused to sign the authorization, which he never asked me to do. Then at the end because I chose not to pay $400 to change out two air filters my vehicle said that service was “over due” even though I had gotten the oil change. I then went to the service area manager and I asked him about it and he agreed to reset that so my advisor yelled across the room from his desk to where I was by the door closesest to Costco for the manager not to change that. There is always more to the story, on both sides, but bottom line his false documentation that I refused to sign the form and his yelling across the room to have the service manager hot help me pushed me to get rid of my vehicle. I have been driving a BMW for almost 7 years and I got rid of it the next day for a vehicle where the service would be better. More
