There is one young gentleman who has been there for a while who’s always really helpful and kind. He sits at the main desk welcoming people into the service area. Probably my one complaint is that it’s always impossible to get a hold of the service person (listed on the business card they give out). This person seems to be out of the office often and the number he directs you to is never answered. Additionally, you can’t just press a number to be directed to an alternate number. You have to stop pull over and write the number down. And then when you do call that number, no one answers. I had called on an early Saturday afternoon last week. No one returned my phone call and no one returned my phone call the following Monday. I had to call and when I finally got a hold of somebody no one even knew that I had left a message over the wknd. By the time I got a hold of somebody Monday afternoon the earliest appointment they had was that Thursday. I had a recall in my car, but I also had a service engine light that had come on as well which is what I was calling about too. Typically in the past, I’ve just been able to stop and they’ll take my keys and quickly see if my oil needs changing. However, I was told they wanted to charge $280 for that while I was in there for the recall issue. Well, I wish they would’ve told me that on the phone. Because I would’ve just taken it to our local mechanic that we work with in WS. I was glad they still have the recall to work on because I would’ve been upset knowing I waited three days to be told at the counter it was going to be $280. Anyways, like I said, in general I think the service here is good. I think it’s definitely much better than it was two years ago. One last thing (this is just an fyi) is they had run out of lids for the to go coffees. When I took the coffee in my Uber, unfortunately the driver had stopped suddenly at a light, and the coffee spilled on my blazer. And yes, I understand I didn’t need to take the coffee with me but I didn’t have time to sit and drink my coffee at the Service area since I had to go to work. I’m assuming it was just not stocked. Anyways, thank you for letting me share my thoughts. More
I bought a used car from BMW Seattle recently, and the experience has been really disappointing. When I came to test drive the car, it was a sunny day and the dealership had all the windows down. I didn’t experience has been really disappointing. When I came to test drive the car, it was a sunny day and the dealership had all the windows down. I didn’t realize until later that the previous owner was a heavy smoker. It’s now obvious that they knew — they sprayed deodorizer in the car and even left a deodorizer machine in the trunk when I got home. My wife, who I bought the car for, is very sensitive to smell, and I have allergies, so this has been a real problem. On top of that, they sold the car with illegal window tint, which I didn’t notice during the test drive because the windows were down and it was bright outside. The car was also not detailed when I bought it. I had asked them to clean it, but they did a poor job. After some back and forth, they eventually agreed to remove the tint and “try” to get the smell out. They had the car for two weeks — when I picked it up, it was actually dirtier than when I dropped it off. They clearly didn’t even attempt to address the smell or clean the interior properly. Now I’m out additional time and will have to spend another $500+ to get ozone treatment and a professional detail just to make the car usable. I like the car itself, but I would not buy another vehicle from BMW Seattle. Between the lack of honesty and the poor reconditioning, this was not what I’d expect from a premium dealership. More
Dealership is attentive and friendly. The service.dept mirrors the sales dept. Glad I made my buying choice here. Benson is an allstar salesman The service.dept mirrors the sales dept. Glad I made my buying choice here. Benson is an allstar salesman More
