Much to our good fortune, we were greeted by Paul Blakeman when we first entered BMW of Alexandria in search of a late model, low mileage BMW convertible. He slowly and without pressure explained every minute detail of the vehicles we were considering and, true to his initial word, found us exactly the vehicle we wanted. His persistence and patience with us resulted in two very happy new owners of a beautiful 2010 BMW 135i with only 10,000 miles on it. And, to boot, it's specifically equipped with all the features we desired - and then some! This place has the worst customer service I have ever received. Not only do they lie or give misrepresentation/misinformation, but they fail to take any responsibility for their actions. My trade-in was given the lowest possible amount because they knew I was in a pinch and they use 328i they sold me had problems as soon as I drove it off the lot! After not passing the inspection, I had to return the car for all tires to be replaced and requested a missing floor mat be added. Additionally, I was given a "loner" car that was apparently someone's personal vehicle because it was an old Toyota Camry with ashes and imbedded cigarette smoke! Months after, other issues came up and after getting the run-around from every sales manager, no follow-ups were every received. DO NOT purchase from this dealership! Save yourself time, money and unnecessary frustration! More

After visiting 8-10 dealerships within a week while car shopping, I had grown accustomed to unforthcoming vehicle descriptions, number games, and aggressive pitches. When I walked into BMW of Alexandria and was greeted by Paul Blakeman who had followed up with a call to our initial inquiry into the dealership, I soon realized this was going to be different. Paul took us out and showed us the beautiful pre-owned BMW we had come in for. After the test drive, I explained there was another car in the area I was interested in driving as I am new to SUVs. Wholeheartedly expecting a list of reasons why leaving his dealership would be a bad idea, Paul took the time to look at the other vehicle I was considering online and explained that it was, in fact, a great car (very classy move). After patiently explaining why purchasing from the BMW dealership would be a completely different experience in the long run given their attention to detail, preventative care, and long-term relationships, I was completely confident that I would never get out of the other car purchase what I would from buying through BMW of Alexandria. As a very cautious attorney, I was thrilled there were NO number games and the process was completely seamless. Paul was happy to stay with us in the freezing cold after the dealership lights were off and everyone else had gone home to make sure we were acclimated and comfortable in our new purchase. I would recommend this dealership and Mr. Blakeman to anyone considering buying in the area and look forward to working with him again in the future. More
