BMW of Annapolis is an Outstanding Dealership!! I had the pleasure of working with Sales Manager Richard Saah and Client Advisor Hunter Lappen. Richard engaged with me in a no nonsense deal on a new BMW X4 M40i. Richard blew away all the competitors locally where I live in the Pittsburgh Area and Dealerships on the East Coast. I spoke to a number of Dealers and Richard and his team gave me the best deal by far. Buying a car at BMW of Annapolis was more than worth the 4+ hour drive to take delivery. I have purchased a number of cars in my lifetime and I have to say that this was probably the best deal and car buying experience I have ever had. Thank you Richard and Hunter for an amazing experience. I will be calling you again when I need a new vehicle. I could not be happier with BMW of Annapolis!! More
Agreed on a deal with them and was going through credit application. After they ran credit check, then called and said the car was sold minutes earlier to someone else. What a waste of time. Sales person w application. After they ran credit check, then called and said the car was sold minutes earlier to someone else. What a waste of time. Sales person was nice though so I don't fault him but I was told that the car would be held if I either put a down payment or apply for credit with them which I was in the processing of doing. If the car was already in the process of being sold to someone else it seems like that should have been known. More
This review is mixed, as sometimes you don't find out the truth for a while, this is broken down into two transactions with information on both. First(August 2019): Purchasing the vehicle, I found a 328xi to truth for a while, this is broken down into two transactions with information on both. First(August 2019): Purchasing the vehicle, I found a 328xi to test drive as I was in the market. I went and drove it, the salesman(Jack) did not ride with me, he sent somebody else who is, best I can tell is somebody who's responsibility is to get things, put on plates. He was nice, bur not knowledgeable enough to answer questions during the test drive. I returned to the dealership and asked the salesman if the car had the features important to me, lane departure, crash detection & automatic braking., which he told me it did not. I told him I liked the characteristics of the car but needed those features, all else was good. He said he would check his inventory and be in touch, I never heard from him, but I kept looking, and in about a week and a half I found another one with those features, so I returned with the mindset of working with another salesman. I arrived, was greeted by a young lady who asked how she could help, I responded with a test drive, and she asked my name, which associated me with the salesman from visit 1. Unfortunately I was tied to him, test drive was conducted and we proceeded with the transaction, the car sold itself, not the salesman. I asked why he hadn't contacted me about this and he stated "It must have just come in". This was August 12 and the CPO paperwork was dated July 26 (three weeks), I should have just departed and went to a different BMW dealership in the area, but I was bound and determined to buy from my local dealer. I was in the market for a sporty sedan and visited the Acura dealer for a look at the tlx, the experience there was five star, they took the time to review all the features and answer questions and followed up to see where I was in my decision making process. BMW called in about a week that my plates were in so I went to pick them up and I arrived was greeted and splay handed my plates and sent on my way. Returning to the car I noticed there were no screws to attach the plates, I could have gone to auto zone but figured they may be unique to BMW, besides this is a premium brand I should be treated better, so I went back inside. They assisted me in getting screws and offered to install the plates for me (now you're getting it), they installed the plates but during the process rested the materials, drill and license plate bracket(sharp edges) on the trunk. OK this may be a four year old pre-owned model, but it should be treated with care. Summarizing, the test drive, treatment by the salesman and the attention to care was lacking. Second(August 2020) I brought the car in for annual service, oil alignment and tire rotation. The Service advisor told me German cars don't rotate with all wheel drive, OK. I also wanted them to check an odd noise from the front end, he asked and applied the prices of some of the service specials that I was sent and told me he was not going to do the alignment until we determine the issue around the noise, I thought that made sense and appreciated his outside the box thinking around this. I departed in a uber and waited for a call on the diagnosis. He called and told me I needed tires, which I was surprised since I bought the car with 14k miles endways just about to roll 21k miles. So at 21k miles, 7k of which are over the last year since purchase as a certified pre-owned BMW I needed to drop $1,000 on tired (all in all not a bad price, but premature) he explained the tires were wearing unevenly and that was causing the noise, he explained the tree depth and that it was down to zero on the inside of one of the tires, 3 is the minimum recommended depth(I don't know if that is measured in mm or fractions of a 32nd of an inch). I approved the service and pulled my cpo paperwork, it turns out the tires were all at a maximum of four(4) for tred depth with one reading 3 across all measurements, one reading 4,3,4 across, one reading -1,4,4; and the last reading 4 across. So had I noticed this last year I would have not purchased a car that was at or below the minimum specification. I find it unethical for a dealership to sell a CPO car at the bare requirements, install new tires and build that into the price and make note of it in the sales writeup. When I brought the paperwork and showed my advisor, he was understanding and did try to call some people and track some down but since it was after five management was gone for the day. So I am stuck installing new tired on a car I have only driven 7k miles (21k total) and was Certified by the dealership. My advisor was very patient and able to explain things at my level, unfortunately he was not able to resolve my complaint nor find somebody who could solve this to my satisfaction. Update, while the above was true, I worked with the General Manager who was proactive in communication. We came to a compromise on the cost of the tires and I feel as he did all he could given all factors. This type of customer service is appreciated and shows a lot of character in the leadership at this dealership. More
Bad recommendation on Financing I traveled to Maryland due to an Ad for a used x3. It fit my monthly budget. In person, the color of the car/interior was not for me. They showed me I traveled to Maryland due to an Ad for a used x3. It fit my monthly budget. In person, the color of the car/interior was not for me. They showed me a Brand new X3 that I could get into for the same low monthly amount using a BALLOON financing, what a mistake. In 5 years. The amortized value was due or refinance, I would have been better off with a lease. Wish I never bought the car under those terms. Buyer beware of balloon financing, More
