A year ago I considered buying a Honda as I had driven one in the past and found them to be very reliable. However, when I first approached the dealership I was not ready to buy and told them so. After one in the past and found them to be very reliable. However, when I first approached the dealership I was not ready to buy and told them so. After test driving one and saying that I might be back in a month or two I was called repeatedly by the salesman I dealt with and each successive message he left me got nastier, eventually accusing me of wasting his time. It was unbelievable and guaranteed I would never give them my business. Thus it was with some trepidation that I ventured into the BMW of Annapolis dealership last month. Again I was not quite ready to move on getting a new car but was firmly decided on a BMW. Art Johnson was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He understood I might need a few more weeks to come to a final decision and remained in touch with me via email but without applying any pressure whatsoever. When I made my decision he made it easy to get exactly what I wanted not just in the specific vehicle but in the lease option that fit my needs. The business manager and the two sales managers I dealt with were all polite and low key. I never had the sense that my arm was being twisted and I felt very well taken care of. I'll be back, again and again. It was one of the best car buying experiences I've ever had. More
It's a shame that Mr. Tate had to sell out to such an awful corportation. If you are new to the BMW purchasing experience, please do your research prior to making a stop here. They will act as if they awful corportation. If you are new to the BMW purchasing experience, please do your research prior to making a stop here. They will act as if they are doing the best possible job for you but all you really get is the run around. They found me a car at an auction and assured me that I did not have to purchase it if I didn't like it. As the end of the month approached and my car wasn't ready, they still "needed" me to come in and sign the paperwork. I guess I was a bit foolish and did, but I had seen the car and loved the way it looked. After driving it, I hated it. It was a '06 525i and it was just too big for me. I didn't feel safe and wanted to take it back. I told them this and they told me just to keep driving it and they would work on finding me something else. That never happened. Luckily I was able to get my down payment back and walk away. I guess they were tired of looking at me! I ended up going to Mercedes Benz of Annapolis and purchasing an awesome car and received wonderful treatment. For that, I would have to say, thank you BMW of Annapolis, you did me a favor! More
