Shady Sales Practices - Buyer Beware! I found this dealership through CarGurus and started working with a Client Advisor (CA) and then later the Sales Manager (SM) on a couple of vehicles I found this dealership through CarGurus and started working with a Client Advisor (CA) and then later the Sales Manager (SM) on a couple of vehicles that we were interested in. We shortlisted two BMWs over a course of few days and finally agreed to buy one of them on a Sunday. I texted the CA to call me the following Monday morning but after not hearing from him for several hours, I called the SM that afternoon to confirm our decision and we agreed that he would have the CA call me later in the day to go over the rest of the process. While on the phone with him (SM), I did not have a credit card on me so we also agreed that I’d make the deposit when the CA would call later in the afternoon. As we hung up the phone, SM said that he was happy to have us as his customers would do everything to take care of us and would want us to be his forever customers. Just the typical sales jazz that everyone gives so I didn’t pay a lot of attention to it but a part of me wanted to believe that he was genuinely happy to have us as his client. About an hour after that phone call, I got another call from CA and later SM saying that the car we chose is no longer available as they are now selling it to someone else. Needless to say that I was mad at them and felt that all the promises SM made were hollow and insincere. This was followed by some back and forth with the CA and the SM which was ridiculous. All the stereotypes you hate about buying a car happened here. The SM did call me later to apologize for dropping the ball but after what I have experienced with them, I do not recommend doing business with them. I also posted about my experience with them on CarGurus and got a standard pre-composed reply. An apology would have been appreciated more than a coverup response. More

Walking into the showroom, I felt like family. Greeted as I entered, They quickly located the person I needed, Harry, Peter Salek, Aldijana in Financing or the great BMW Genius staff. Chris Lima and other staff I have worked with in the past took time the talk with me during my time at Motorwerks, Even my go to guy in Service, Erik Swanson. More

Best First Car Buying Experience! I went to BMW of Barrington after checking out a few other places online. Online I found my car and inquired about it late Friday night. Early Saturda I went to BMW of Barrington after checking out a few other places online. Online I found my car and inquired about it late Friday night. Early Saturday morning i got a follow up email giving me more information that led me to actually going into the dealership. Which I was kind of nervous about being my first time actually buying a car for myself. In my honest opinion my experience could not have been any better. Right off the bat, entering the building I was actually greeted and that helped me to feel welcome. (A lot of places I've noticed kind of just ignore you until you linger by a car for too long) They gave me a GREAT deal, they treated me very well. Harry Gianos was who worked with me and he was excellent. He understood what I wanted and was very accommodating. Something I also really liked was how I never really had to move around from where I was sitting with Harry, everyone comes to you, when it comes to the next steps involved in the whole car buying process, which also helps ease the stress of buying a new car. While getting financing things taken care of a Genius, Daniel Staar, took me and showed me all the cool new features of my new car, which was awesome. Afterwards Ryan Durso, who dealt with all the financing parts was great. He genuinely seemed to not want me to waste any of my money. He didn't try and add on any extra packages or warranties that wouldn't be of any use to me, which is great especially when you're buying your first car, and have a million things running through my mind. I will definitely come back for any of the car services I will need in the future. More

I was intimidated going to motor werks being a non millionaire. But the staff there sure treated me like one. It was an easy purchase with Robert being patient and Ryan Durso going above and beyond my expectations when it came time for the actual financing. Add all that up with the Starbucks coffee and free car washes for as long as I own the vehicle and I can’t quite possibly think of anything but good things to say about Motor Werks and staff. Most definitely will be the first place I look for my next car. Thanks Robert and thank you Ryan. More

Al is easygoing, no pressure, really knows his stuff. Car arrived in 3 weeks (one week early!). Al gave me a quick tour of the service area while paperwork was processed. Ashourina the BMW Genius was great, her tutorial on the vehicle & the tech was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Motorwerks to friends. More
