Outstanding Customer Service I will never forget the great people I met at BMW of Bridgeport. On Saturday, my wife and I traveled from Virginia to Bridgeport, Connecticut to atte I will never forget the great people I met at BMW of Bridgeport. On Saturday, my wife and I traveled from Virginia to Bridgeport, Connecticut to attend my 50th High School Reunion which was scheduled to start at 6:00pm. We arrived at my hotel around 2:00pm, and to my surprise, the car trunk would not open. We went to the Bridgeport BMW dealership praying for assistance. I was informed by a very pleasant receptionist that the service department was closed, but the on duty “Genius” (Charles) could possibly help. After evaluating the car, Charles informed us that he could not open the trunk. Understanding our dilemma, he informed us that a service technician (Steve) was still onsite and would explore other options, which gave us some hope (note that the dealership was full of customers and they were attempting to get their customers out by 5:00pm). Steve made multiple attempts to actuate the trunk release, including performing a diagnostic test and re-programming vehicle software. We were informed that the re-programming effort would not be completed by 5:00 pm, but Steve volunteered to stay until the job was complete. At this point, we accepted the fact that I would miss my class reunion. But they didn't give up. Steve removed the back seat to work around our luggage in the trunk so he could open the trunk with the emergency release handle, and we could get our luggage. The Sales Manager, Bill Green, offered us a courtesy vehicle (along with giving us his personal cell number to call if we encountered additional problems) and Steve told us he would deliver our car to the hotel once the re-programming was complete, and pick up the courtesy vehicle. I made it to my reunion and was able to fellowship with classmates I hadn’t seen in 50 years. Note that Steve delivered our car around 8:00pm, long after the time the dealership closed, and I’m sure he had other plans for a Saturday afternoon and night. From the time we walked into the dealership, until the car was delivered, everyone greeted us with a smile and pleasant demeanor. Thanks to Charles (BMW Genius), Steve (BMW Technician) and Bill (BMW Sales Manager), my weekend ended up being a great weekend. Thank you very much! More
