I purchased a vehicle on a Monday and was told by the salesperson they would paint the bumpers as there were imperfections. FYI, the sales person was very nice and helpful; however, he didn't tell me the 5 day money-back guarantee began the moment I signed the papers. The bumper was painted and the car was delivered 5 days later, on a Saturday. By Monday morning I knew the seats would not work with my back due to a previous back surgery. I called and they said they would not honor the 5 day money back guarantee although I didn't take possession of the vehicle until 5 days after purchase. I was told they would "trade out" for another vehicle within the AutoNation group. After finding a vehicle of equal value they said they would not "trade out" but offered me a "trade in" value for the car they just sold me for a 23% depreciation for having the car less than 1 week. I was never told the 5 days would begin as soon as signed or I would have taken the vehicle as is to make sure it was a good fit for me. One month after purchasing the vehicle I was able to sell it at a loss of several thousand dollars. I have asked other AutoNation dealers and they have all said the 5 day money-back guarantee begins upon taking possession of the vehicle. Other companies offer the same type of guarantee and they all say it begins upon taking possession of the vehicle. This was the worst car buying experience in which I have been involved. More
The sales agreement was not filled out correctly. Paid cash for the car and it showed sales amount due. Took literally countless emails, messages and calls to finally get it corrected. Between that and the finance guy being so extremely rude and irritated because we didn’t want any extra warranties and him not giving us a paid in full receipt, made it a terrible experience. Could not get the general manager or sales manager to return an email or call. Never did contact us. Expected way better service from a high end dealership. More
