I was in Elk Grove, CA when the annunciator warned me for a service due soon - The rear brake pads needed to be changed in 1000 miles. I was about to move to Las Vegas so I requested a quote from Niello BMW a service due soon - The rear brake pads needed to be changed in 1000 miles. I was about to move to Las Vegas so I requested a quote from Niello BMW Elk Grove, BMW Only in Las Vegas, and BMW of Las Vegas (A.K.A. Autonation). The first two asked me for my VIN number to see what kind of breaks I had, and quoted me respectively $869, and $882.26. They both said they would replace the pads, rotors, and sensor. BMW of Las Vegas, on the other hand, didn’t ask me for my VIN. I talked to Carlos Castro, who told me it was going to be between $500 and $550. I immediately thought the other 2 would change the whole system to get a few bucks more but BMW of Las Vegas would only replace what was necessary. I set the appointment but once they had my car, Carlos said: -“Your rotors are rusty so we’ll have to change them as well. It’s going to be $1250. “ I was livid. I told him and showed him my notes about the different quotes. -“You told me it was going to be about $500, and now you more than double the price? And how can you charge almost $400 more than the other 2 shops?” His answer was that the other shops installed after-market parts, not original BMW parts, and if they had BMW parts, they bought from his dealership, making the repair more expensive. I said – “Niello BMW Elk Grove" is a BMW dealership. How is it that they don’t have access to original parts? As for BMW Only, how are they paying more for the parts, yet charging less than you?” His reply was that the best he could do was to take $150 out. I told him to go ahead and do that and also that I would never be back again. He said I could take the car now and not give them any money. He knew that I knew I was due for the maintenance and not doing it would risk causing damage so I asked him to only replace the pads. He answered that he couldn’t – He had to replace the whole of it. And that’s how they get you. They quote you for the pads but once you’re there they tell you they have to replace the whole system, and it’s much more expensive than everyone else. For my next scheduled maintenance, I’m driving across the country if need be but BMW of Las Vegas aka Autonation will never, ever get another penny from me. You fooled me once! More
On this website I see a lot of bad reviews and I'm guessing that has to do with people who leave good reviews tend to leave one and that's on google or yelp while the angry people scream from the roof guessing that has to do with people who leave good reviews tend to leave one and that's on google or yelp while the angry people scream from the rooftops. My experience with BMW of Las Vegas was nothing but spectacular from the viewpoint of a first time buyer. I feel like of anyone was to blame for any stress it would be me. I'm an out of state buyer from MN. I wanted to plan a road trip with my girlfriend with some money I came across due to random luck in the stock market and always wanted a MINI. I looked around all of the US as I didn't care where it was I just wanted a road trip. The first few places I called had me wait in the phone, wait for a call back, or sometimes wouldn't even give me the time of day until I spoke to Randall. When I first spoke to home he had all the answers immediately and the ones he didn't he googled (or looked up but either way questions were answered.) I played a bit of cat and mouse as my bank wasn't to happy about buying a car I had never seen or tested but Randall sent me videos of it running, pictures of 'damages", and showed me all of the service records proving the car was very well maintained. I then gave him my ccn over the phone and he didn't take any money until I authorized it (the first of many security checks I did that he passed.) A notery met me in my home town later that week to sign the paper work and after that it was a done deal. If you're an out of state buyer looking for any reason not to buy from this dealership those reasons run out with Randall. He was quick, courteous, and knew what he was doing. I HIGHLY recommend dealing with him as he is smooth as butter and knows his s**t. 10/10 I dont know everyone else at this dealership but if you're being cautious about buying online it worked well for me. I would suggest looking at the bad reviews with a grain of salt and maybe seeing if they copy pasted from other review sites just to be noticed. More
Worst Service! unethical unprofessional and out to rip you off!! I brought my car in for one issue which was a engine failure and instead of fixing that which was actually under warranty they told me it w you off!! I brought my car in for one issue which was a engine failure and instead of fixing that which was actually under warranty they told me it wasn’t and then did work on my car that I never asked them to do; They charged me $200 for multi point inspection which is I never asked for and covered under warranty. I had to dispute this and won!!!! ( they actually charged my credit card 500.00! Matt the service manager on Sahara as well as general manager Eric are EXTREMELY DISHONEST. It’s a shame because now I have to sell my $50,000.00 car as you can’t get service in Las Vegas or Henderson Eric Ziegenbein is general manager of both shops. BUT you can file a report with North American BMW than go buy a Tesla across the street. BUYER BEWARE when it comes to service THERE IS NO SERVICE AT this place! More
