rip-off $170 "diagnostic" charge is a rip-off. Was quoted $2900 to rebuild struts on my daughter's X5. Took car to a reputable independent BMW mechanic & he $170 "diagnostic" charge is a rip-off. Was quoted $2900 to rebuild struts on my daughter's X5. Took car to a reputable independent BMW mechanic & he is repairing what needs to be repaired in the front end for a third of the cost. This is may last trip to dealer. More
