Proceed with caution when purchasing a used vehicle from BMW Dealership of Myrtle Beach. We purchased two used vehicles in October from this dealership, and they knew one had an issue with the stereo (head BMW Dealership of Myrtle Beach. We purchased two used vehicles in October from this dealership, and they knew one had an issue with the stereo (head unit) the day we purchased it. They had us bring it back the next week for repair but were unable to do so and then sent us to the Infinity dealership in Wilmington. Infinity diagnosed the car and said it needed a new head unit and sent BMW a repair estimate, which they thought was too high so were going to research another option. After this the dealership went silent (sales associate wouldn’t answer texts, calls on his cell, or his office phone). In December, my husband left a message for the Sales Manager who was very short and rude when she called him back. She said she would research but never heard back from her, so we then left a message for the General Manager who never called back. I guess the GM researched the issue because in January we finally got a text message from the sales associate to bring it back to their dealership for repair (they kept the car from Monday night until Saturday night). We received a text message on Saturday saying they couldn’t fix it, it would have to go to Infinity for repair, and we’d have to run it through our warranty, and they would only pay the deductible. I have detailed text messages from the sales associate throughout the process stating and I quote, “I mentioned it to my manager, and we have to order the audio module” and “I apologize for the wait for the head unit. I got my GM involved to see how we’re going to process this, but it’s guaranteed going to get fixed”. So, you can see they promised to fix the head unit but are now making us have it repaired using our warranty, which is so unfair since the quoted texts state they will take care of it. Car warranties have limits so this could prevent further repairs in the future from being paid through it. Also, never once did they offer to reimburse my gas costs or give me a rental car. During a verbal call on Saturday, the sales associate even said they probably should have fixed it before it was sold. Never again will we purchase a vehicle from them and will not recommend them to friends and family. They also lost our business for service on the used BMW we purchased from them. More
