I took my car in for repairs. The convertible top did not go down. I was quoted $500 for the repair and I did not feel that what they thought was the problem was going to fix the issue. I specifically stated go down. I was quoted $500 for the repair and I did not feel that what they thought was the problem was going to fix the issue. I specifically stated that I did not want to spend more than $500 on that repair, being an old car and all, and if they thought there were going to be additional expenses, not to do the repair. They assure me that this would fix it and gave me a written estimate. After spending a week in the sop, I got a call from BMW that the car was ready. I was just about to pay when I thought I should try it first. So we went to the car and the first thing I noticed was a puncture hole in the rear window (it is plastic). Of course, they told me that they did not do it but I know there was no hole when I took the car in. Next, we tried to lower the top and that did not work. You would have thought that they'd try it before calling me. Anyway, I have to wait another 3 days before I could talk to the manager, who told me they will see what more was needed and give me a call. He never called, so I did and was told that the car needed another $3100 to be fixed. That is strange because the whole roof can be bought online for $650. So, I told them that there was mo way I was going to pay that and we agreed that I pay for the parts they used and some labor, which was $317. So now I feel like I paid $317 for them to put a hole in my window and the top still does not go down. Although the staff is very peasant to talk to, my car is actually worse than before I took it in. I will not recommend that dealership. More
Please check the vehicle carefully before you buy it, I bought a BMW that they have bought wholesale and sold to me, the car was in an accident despite a clean carfax and very poorly repaired. Terrible! They damaged my ('06 330i) car when I brought it in for service and tried to deny it. At first they wouldn't even return phone calls and when I went in in person the general manger was "in it in for service and tried to deny it. At first they wouldn't even return phone calls and when I went in in person the general manger was "in a meeting". When I did get the general manager on the phone, it took a week, he acted like they did nothing wrong and could care less about what I was telling him. Ended up going to court and I won. The dead beats still refused to pay so I had to contact a state marshal to freeze their assets. When they realized their assets were about to be frozen they paid. Avoid the Antonino auto group! I have received excellent service from the dealer in Hartford and the dealer I bought the car from Zimbrook BMW in Wisconsin. I mention that so you all don't think I just like to beat up dealers. In fact the dealer in Wisconsin covered warrantee items over the phone from over a 1,000 miles away that BMW of New London wouldn't. I just sent them the bills from BMW of New London and they paid them, that's service! More
Steven is truly knowledgeable and reliable. He has helped me many times, from choosing the right tires for my 3-series to explaining the reason certain repairs are needed. I also witnessed his intera helped me many times, from choosing the right tires for my 3-series to explaining the reason certain repairs are needed. I also witnessed his interaction with quite a few (10+) other customers while I waited for my car. He not only always has an answer, it is presented to the customer in a professional and positive manner. He always sounds right! Of the 3 BMW service men I have dealt with over the last 2 years Steven strikes me as having the right mix of customer service savvy and BMW knowledge. More
Very laid back and comfortable sales team. I always get good advice that often saves me money. If you are looking for a specific BMW, they will find the one you want! good advice that often saves me money. If you are looking for a specific BMW, they will find the one you want! More
It is because of the service staff that I return to BMW of New London. They are friendly, respectful, accomodating, and the mechanics are great at their craft. I was given a new 5 series vehicle as a court of New London. They are friendly, respectful, accomodating, and the mechanics are great at their craft. I was given a new 5 series vehicle as a courtesy loaner, which was quite impressive, I would have expected a used Toyota or 3 series BMW, not a new 5 series! I was able to purchase parts myself and the service department was kind enough to install them for me with just the labor cost. This was an exceptional service. I was without my car for 6 days, and there was no hassle from the dealership to get the loaner back for another client. I was free to use it for as long as my car was in service. For the most part, I've been very pleased with the service and attention I've received over the past 17 years I've been going to the dealership. Will most likely continue to purchase the BMW product because of the employees at the dealership. More
Always a pleasure dealing with anyone in the BMW store. I live in Hartford, but service my car in New London. What does that tell you? Stay away! Service is horrible. They are true thieves. I've had them change prices (several hundred dollar differences) on me for the same service when speaking with different people. I've had them not complete work, forcing me to come back multiple times. I've had them forget to send their shuttle to pick me up, then to tell me, "their driver is too busy, take a taxi." I need to take my own advice... STAY AWAY. More
I called today to inquire about 6 speed manual cars. I spoke with a guy who was extremely rude, and when i offered 500 over invoice on a car he had instock, he rudely told me they do not sell cars at 500 spoke with a guy who was extremely rude, and when i offered 500 over invoice on a car he had instock, he rudely told me they do not sell cars at 500 over invoice and told me there wasn't a chance to get a car that cheap. Overall I think as a first time call, i will never use this dealership. glad I found out before i had driven to meet the dealer. More
