T I'm a Michigander who wanted a particular model, year, color, feature line-up and price for my next car. I found it 5 hours away at BMW of Peoria. The salesperson with whom I communicated, Sam Swiskoski, was very helpful. I needed him to be my "eyes" and he personally inspected the car, drove it, and sent me pictures and videos. He accurately described the condition. I negotiated the purchase on a Friday morning, secured a one-way rental, and drove 5 hours to Peoria the next morning (Saturday). I returned the rental car at the Peoria airport where Sam met me with the car (my new car). Our travel back to the dealership was my test drive and I was very pleased with the car and did not have any surprises. The novelty of the recent purchase and high satisfaction with the transaction and the vehicle gave me some (needed) extra energy for the 5 hour return trip. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from them again. More

Absolutely disgusted. I bought a brand new BMW M3 from BMW of Peoria. It was a cross-country purchase, but the General Manager of BMW of Peoria, Jon Fehr, promised me that I bought a brand new BMW M3 from BMW of Peoria. It was a cross-country purchase, but the General Manager of BMW of Peoria, Jon Fehr, promised me that he would be my personal eyes and ears there to make sure the car was exactly as advertised and that everything was taken care of for me. This was not the case. In fact, there were several promises that were not kept and multiple problems with the representation of the transaction on the part of Mr. Fehr and BMW of Peoria. This complaint, though, will address the main problem, which I have communicated to Mr. Fehr and BMW of Peoria, with not even the smallest attempt on their part to remedy the situation. To put it succinctly, there was undisclosed paint damage to the front spoiler on this new BMW M3. It will require the bumper to be removed and a complete respray. I brought this up to the General Manager, Jon Fehr, and I have been completely blown off. The driver said the dealership was well aware of this preexisting damage to the front bumper when he arrived to pick up the car. This greatly reduces the value of what is otherwise a collector car in mint condition as now one of the main exterior parts will not have original factory paint. This has absolutely ruined my buying experience, as it doesn't feel particularly good to be taken advantage of on a cross-country deal. This was a long-distance purchase, so I was trusting Mr. Fehr and this dealership to be honest and forthcoming as I was unable to be there to see the car in person before purchase. Horribly disappointing and sketchy. In the end, they dropped a damaged car on me that is worth far less than they represented and will cost me even more money to attempt to remedy, even though no remedy will truly make it original and unaltered. If you like to buy a BMW buy it in Springfield IL but be ready for long haul service. Peoria BMW should not stay in business. More

What a change! I bought my first new BMW in 2003 from this dealer. Back then the salesman was mediocre and the service department was weak. My next two BMWs came fro I bought my first new BMW in 2003 from this dealer. Back then the salesman was mediocre and the service department was weak. My next two BMWs came from other BMW dealers. I returned for an oil change in 2008 and found a completely different attitude and atmosphere. We bought a 2007 CPO from Carl Luthy at this dealer in 2009, and had a great experience. Service has been fantastic. We ordered a new 2011 X5d from Carl and it was a great experience as well. I found a 750 CPO last year at a dealer in Milwaukee - I should have stayed patient enough to let BMW of Peoria find one! Once Peoria's service solved all of the issues it had, we truly enjoy the vehicle. (Concours, the selling dealer was terrible!) BMW of Peoria treated me as if I purchased it from them! They have been fantastic. Last week, we picked up our 3rd purchase from Carl Luthy at BMW of Peoria, a 435i convertible to replace the now retired 2007. Tim Leman and the Leman group have obviously gone to great lengths to change a mediocre dealership into a premier dealership. We are not just satisfied... we are Raving Fans! More
