Poor communication I did not have a good service experience this week. I got a yellow check engine light and called immediately to arrange to bring the car in. It started with scheduling the appt.On the positive side, I was given an appt for early the next morning (Tuesday 10/30), however I was not asked if I planned to wait or would need a loaner or ride. When I arrived, my representative John told me to wait upstairs. After one full hour, I responded to the text I received to check on status. I got no text reply, but about 20 minutes later John came to upstairs and rattled off quickly something about fuel injector and left without explaining what the next step is. I waited for another hour, then went downstairs to inquire. I paced in front of John's desk for approximately 30 minutes while he was helping another customer, then he picked up the phone, asked how much longer for the X1 (my car, I assume), and said to me "ready in 10 minutes." Indeed, it was about 10 minutes when it came out. I was there from 8:15 am (8:20 appt), until 11 am, and still have no idea what was done to my car. I was told I would get an email with the receipt but am still waiting for it. My expectation was that the computer would be checked and I would be informed within 20-30 minutes what the suspected problem was and what should be done to fix it, as well as how long it would take. I was not prepared to be there for nearly 3 hours and had a ride arranged to get me had I been given any inkling of that. Still waiting for information about what the problem was and what was done to fix it... I am not likely to use your service center again. More
