extremely dishonest dealership. I requested a trade in value for my vehicle in excellent condition. I find out that the trade in value which they quoted me for my vehicle was for I requested a trade in value for my vehicle in excellent condition. I find out that the trade in value which they quoted me for my vehicle was for a car in good condition even though i advised that it was in excellent condition. Very underhanded. I guess they want to lowball you as well as misrepresent the trade in value so they can maximize their profits when they sell your car. Extremely hard pass! More

I am sharing this factual account of my experience with BMW of Rockville regarding a serious warranty issue with my 2023 BMW iX xDrive50. The DC fast charging system failed during a family road trip in De BMW of Rockville regarding a serious warranty issue with my 2023 BMW iX xDrive50. The DC fast charging system failed during a family road trip in December 2025. The dealership repeatedly attributed the problem to the charging station rather than the vehicle — a claim ultimately disproven by their own repair order, which documented that technicians tested multiple public stations and confirmed the fault was with the vehicle. The vehicle was at BMW of Rockville for 62 consecutive days. The dealership attempted to return the vehicle unrepaired, failed to record a loaner vehicle request causing a two-month delay, missed multiple repair deadlines without proactive communication, and provided a gasoline-powered loaner to a battery electric vehicle owner. The repair required replacement of the Combined Charging Unit and Battery Management Electronics — over $8,200 in parts. BMW of North America has failed to respond to a formal compensation demand letter despite a 14-day deadline. Complaints have been filed with NHTSA, the Better Business Bureau, and the Maryland Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. I share this to inform other EV owners and encourage anyone facing a similar situation to document everything thoroughly from day one. More
