My son and I drove from Richmond VA to test drive the car. I ended up buying it and Kevin worked with me to allow an independent mechanic to inspect the car before purchase. I was able to drive it home that day! James was also fantastic and made the process very easy. Kevin followed up that evening to make sure we got home okay. I LOVE my new car!! (Any chance I can get a BMW t-shirt size large for my son for helping me find the car and driving 4hrs RT?? And for filling out this survey a second time since the first one didn't go through? 😊) More
Pre-owned vehicle had been in an undisclosed accident update Updated post regarding the CPO X3 that had been in an undisclosed accident—tried to come to resolution with the General Manager the best they would of Updated post regarding the CPO X3 that had been in an undisclosed accident—tried to come to resolution with the General Manager the best they would offer was to extend the existing warranty by a year. Warranty was extremely limited, only covering “defects in materials or workmanship” which clearly precludes the impact of possible damage caused by the previous owner which is the very reason that I am concerned about the safety and reliability of the CPO in the first place and only comes with a full legal release. Which would leave me with no recourse if something goes wrong. Did I mention that the same problem started again this weekend… The GM belittled my concerns, calling the accident a “boo boo” and said BMW didn’t have to tell me the truth about what happened to my car or fix it correctly and that a lot of other dealers wouldn’t have. I actually disagree. Professional and ethical norms say you do have to behave in that way. It’s what the BMW trademark SHOULD stand for and a GM shouldn’t be trying to argue for extra credit points for doing what is the right thing. Since the dealership is so convinced that the car is fine, I asked today to trade my car for one of equal value. The GM says now that my car has depreciated in the 3 months I have been trying to get it fixed by them and that the $2,600 in taxes and fees is too much for them to pay. Though the warranty they offered had a retail value of approx.. $2,000 so it seems like they could but that perhaps the “boo boo” is more problematic than they want to admit? Bottom line, don’t buy a car here because they don’t stand by their product. I literally hate my car every time I get into it and hate BMW. -------------------------------------------------- I was so excited to buy a BMW after driving a minivan for 12 years! Twins are now 12 and it was time for mom to have a fun, but still safe car! But unfortunately shortly after the purchase of a certified pre-owned BMW a series of trips to the service department determined that prior my purchase, the previous owner had gotten in an accident and cosmetically covered up the damage on the exterior. While BMW fixed the damage at no cost to me (I will say that Scott Cascone the service manager was AWESOME throughout this experience and completely honest about what had happened), the sales manager will not respond to my questions on how an accident or serious dependencies in the mileage reported were not identified as part of the certified pre-owned vehicle inspection checklist. I am now concerned about the fundamental safety of the car for my children and am working with BMW North America to address the problem to engage. At this point I can't recommend the dealership or the car but hope that after working with BMW North America to be able to recommend the car. More

I was in a bit of a bind and they jumped through hoops to make sure I was taken care of. Kevin was the epitome of professional and friendly. He has continued to stay in contact even while I have been in Texas helping me out. I look forward to working with him in the future. Even though I am in Texas I will come back to BMW of Rockville for my future BMW purchases. More

Consider another location, even if it is further away from you. This is an unethical and unprofessional service center. Scott Cascone said that BMW service surveys are not sent to customers who might provide low ratings. Scott Cascone also said that the cars are not fully and appropriately serviced in cases where they believe the customer might provide low ratings. Yes, you read correctly. I asked to tell me this in writing and he refused for obvious reasons (it's unethical). More
