Booking an appointment with these folks is a miserable experience. I finally got it booked after about a half hour, but it required wasting time trying to do an online booking, then waiting on hold to ge experience. I finally got it booked after about a half hour, but it required wasting time trying to do an online booking, then waiting on hold to get a regular booking, and THEN waiting online to have a service writer to reserve a loaner car. HE NEVER called me back to confirm the loaner. However, I called up a different dealership (20 miles further away) -- and ALL OF THIS was done, in one phone call, and in less than 5 minutes. DON'T expect much from Rockville -- go elsewhere! More
We had a good experience with the purchase of our Mazda used car at BMW of Rockville. But that's where it ended. We had a devil of a time getting tags and title for the car. They said they'd come on 30-45 used car at BMW of Rockville. But that's where it ended. We had a devil of a time getting tags and title for the car. They said they'd come on 30-45 days and when those dates passed and we tried to call for help the salesman, Simon, WOULD NOT TAKE OUR CALLS! After 60 days we went to the dealership and sat down with Suvin who seemed like he wanted to help (Simon would not see us...) but of course he subsequently would not return calls either. Nor would the GM, Lou. Finally we had a lawyer contact the GM at BMW of Rockville and the tags magically appeared after 80+ days, and so did the title a couple days later. We will not be going back. More

Had to find financing on my own. Would prefer to one stop shop People I worked with: Sales person: Suvin Viswanathan PRO: -Super knowledgeable on cars and BMWs in general. Suvin is not the type of dealer to sell you something he knows nothing about. -Was not trying to be pushy on dealer financing especially when I told him my competing rates -Seems small, but he offered refreshment from his private fridge. Offered my kid one who was not in the office. -it was 7:15 PM by the time I got in the car, dealership is officially closed. Suvin saw me in the car fumbling with the GPS, he offered to show me the system features and how to set up. He sees me still fumbling and reassures me that he is more than glad to assist. This gesture shows his commitment to his customers. He could have left but he offers to stay past the time to show me something was would undoubtedly take 30 plus minutes -Customer service oriented. He cares, would buy another car from him Cons: -He is busy and trying to get his time is difficult. but once you have him, he is committed. -He warned me not to come on weekend, I didn't listen. it was a long wait Finance Aaron Mayers PRO: -Recognized it was late and did not try to beat me into compliance to buy warranty products -Did give me a QUICK run down of the coverages they do offer just incase I wanted it Reception: Katherine PRO: Called for assistance to track down my check that the bank sent to the dealer with no attention to. Katherine looked at every desk to help look for it. Overall had a great experience here. More
I only have a 4 because of the dealership and my prior dealings with other staff. But since Russell left I had the pleasure of working with Robert to change Battery and he gets above 100% for his courteou dealings with other staff. On Friday, July 29, we had another excellent sales experience with Suvin. He originally helped us choose and lease an X5 in 2019, and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient in helpin experience with Suvin. He originally helped us choose and lease an X5 in 2019, and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient in helping us make our selection and in completing our paperwork. Since then, he has always been there for us in case we've needed assistance or advice. Our recent appointment with him last week was because our lease was ending. He first helped us fit in an annual maintenance service appointment for that day, and completed all of our paperwork to buy back the lease and purchase the car outright. During the wait time, he made sure we were comfortable, had water and were kept in the loop as to what was going on. Once completed, he arranged for us to have a loaner car because our service work wasn't done, and then made sure our own car was driven home to us later that evening. The new license plates hadn't been put on the car, so he drove to our house that night to bring us the plates. To say he went the extra mile with everything he did is an understatement. Because of his kindness, thoroughness and attention to all detail, we will certainly continue to work with Suvin for a long time! More
I had a terrible experience with the service department today. I made an appointment for a regular car maintenance (oil change). When I dropped off my X3, I was told it takes 2 to 3 hours. After 3 hours pa today. I made an appointment for a regular car maintenance (oil change). When I dropped off my X3, I was told it takes 2 to 3 hours. After 3 hours passed, I went to the representative Ali and he simply told me to wait in the waiting area. Then 3.5 hours passed. I went to Ali for an status update. He impatiently claimed that I did not wait for 3.5 hours. I told him my appointment time. He said “you came here at your appointment time. It does not mean that we start the work at the same time”, then completely ignored me. I stood there for 5 minutes, asking him whether he even helped check the status. The manager came and helped me check the status. 10 minutes later, Ali told me my car is ready. When I asked whether I need to sign my paperwork, he said the invoice is in the car. When I went to my car, I did not see any paperwork, and my maintenance message is still on. I asked Ali when he passed by but he said “someone is on the phone and he needs to go back to his desk to answer the phone”. Again, his manager came and helped me find the invoice and helped reset the maintenance message. I began to doubt what kind of service this department performed for my car. The manager said that it is impossible to print out the invoice if the service is not performed. Definitely an awful experience. This will be the last time I will go to BMW - Rockville for anything, including purchasing a new car or service. More

This review is for the service department. I am writing as they still have my X5 after dropping it off May 24th, it is now June 11th. The car was brought in for regular maintenance and to check the parking sensor. The sales rep was out multiple times, and after many follow-ups we never really got an answer for the status other than the sale rep is on vacation. Just 2 days ago, we learned that they lost the key without even notifying me earlier. I had to get my spare key, and again no status update other than they are ordering a new key. As of right now, I don’t know the status and have not received any calls from the sales rep. Is this even normal? I have had my X5 for few years now and bought it new in same location - have always gotten a nice service. What has changed???? It is unacceptable that the car is already at the dealer for 3 weeks and no status at all. Someone need to take responsibility and make this right. It has been inconvenience on my end. I have a sedan as a loaner, which is no where comparable to an SUV. I have been stressed out not knowing when the car is done or when I should pick it up so I can plan my schedule at work. This is truly unacceptable! More
