I bought the car through TrueCar. I accepted the price offer. When I went to finalize the deal I was informed that because I used TrueCar the dealership was adding a 1% surcharge to I accepted the price offer. When I went to finalize the deal I was informed that because I used TrueCar the dealership was adding a 1% surcharge to the interest rate. BMW was offering a rate special of 2.99%. I called the Internet Manager and he lied to me stating that I was not entitled to the special rate. He lied stating that the rate was only available to former BMW financial customers. I spoke to the sales person and he said I qualified for the lower special rate but management required I pay a higher rate. No where in the TrueCar or BMW disclosures was I informed that I would have to pay a surcharge to make up for the lower TrueCar price offer. This was an illegal and misleading bate and switch. I am weighing whether to take further action. The staff and sales person were great. Unfortunately, BMW SF management is not. More
