Exceeded Expectations First time servicing my BMW here. Drove to Sarasota from California and needed an oil change. Carlos Munoz was my advisor (and also the Assistant Service Manager). The vehicle was done faster than expected which was nice. Carlos took time to listen to my concerns without rushing and went through everything that was checked with me. The only differences between BM W Sarasota and BMW of San Rafael is the snacks (cookies, chips and apples here and toasted bagels and muffins) in San Rafael. Also, San Rafael washes and vacuums the car where Sarasota only washes without vacuuming! Very good first time visit and I will be a customer for sure if I move here. More

When he knows I'm in a rush, he works diligently to get me out in as little of time as possible. If service is going to take an extended amount of time, he always offers a loaner car. Routine oil change I was quoted at first $459 for an oil change. Then they said they would help me out and lower that to $259. I showed the service writer an email from I was quoted at first $459 for an oil change. Then they said they would help me out and lower that to $259. I showed the service writer an email from their dealership for $24.95 oil change special for all 4-6 cylinder engines. He explained to me that doesn’t include Diesel engines because it takes a special oil and DEF service. After some discussion that the synthetic oil maybe slightly different but costs the same. We agreed that they would just change the oil only because I recently topped off the DEF reservoir ( DEF fluid is $10 for 2 1/2 gallons, the reservoir holds 1 1/2 gallons). I drove the car home and pulled the dip stick on the engine and the oil looked black like old oil. Now I’m second guessing as to if they changed the oil at all. Diesel engines still have a dip stick unlike some newer gas engines so I was able to visually look at the oil color. Basically they would have been perfectly happy with charging me up to $259 for a basic oil change which now I question they even performed. OBTW this isn’t the first time I feel this dealship has been less than ethical. More
