Neils was our first contact with BMW; we had not seriously been considering them. Neils could not have been more helpful in showing us what a BMW could do. He spent a lot of time over a week or two with us - both together and with me while my husband was at work. He took the time, and had the patience, to allow us to investigate every feature we wanted to know about - and if he didn't have the answer, he knew where to find it! We never felt like we were a bother during his day. That said - when it came time to finalize the sale, the BMW-Sterling purchase process seemed seemed cumbersome compared to our past car purchases. It was almost as if the dealership had never made a sale - paperwork was not prepared before our arrival, Especially concerning was the full-court press that was put on us regarding the final price which would include the additional costs for one of four different warranty plans that we had not been expecting. We felt pressed to make a decision on the spot. When we asked for a print-out of the various plans to do additional research - somehow, amongst all the paperwork we were given, that information was not included. When we returned a few days later after doing additional research, we opted not to take any additional warranty. Our research suggested monies expended for a warranty (which may/may not cover a problem) instead be invested and subsequent interest earned (along with principal if necessary) - well, our warm & friendly BMW welcome was no longer in evidence and we were hustled on out. That said - we now love the brand - and the final Finance portion is just a small part of our experience and will soon be forgotten. We are truly looking forward to our life as BMW owners! More
