I purchased a 2019 BMW X5 from BMW of Towson. The price of the car was fair, but the warranty they sold me was completely misrepresented. Because of bad past experiences with warranties, I asked a lot of questions. The finance manager assured me that the Veritas warranty was different. He told me I could take the car anywhere—even a BMW dealer—and that repairs would be fully covered except for a $100 deductible. I confirmed this multiple times before purchasing. Before using the warranty, I even called Veritas, and they confirmed the same. But when my shop submitted a claim, Veritas refused to cover the full repair. They only approved 10 hours of a 17-hour job. I obtained three estimates, including from a BMW dealer, and none came close to 10 hours. Veritas then hid behind fine print about “average labor times,” something never disclosed or backed up with facts. I contacted BMW of Towson for help, but after one return call, the finance manager stopped responding. This dealership will say whatever it takes to sell you a warranty, but once the sale is complete, they won’t stand behind it. I don’t blame Veritas as much as I blame BMW of Towson for misrepresenting the product just to close a deal. I would not recommend buying from this dealership. More
Service at BMW of Towson was the best I've ever had in 60 years of owning cars. I was greeted by a gentleman who showed me where to report. Terrance, the service adviser, took care of my paperwork (plus k years of owning cars. I was greeted by a gentleman who showed me where to report. The waiting room was comfortable and inviting -- and has an excellent variety of coffees for their Keurig. The service tech was quick with my repair, and provided a narrated video of his multi-point check. Then they cleaned my car inside and out. More
