Such a great experience! I worked with Bruce Reis and I couldn't have been happier. He was so patient with us as we looked at multiple cars and wanted to test drive a few. He I worked with Bruce Reis and I couldn't have been happier. He was so patient with us as we looked at multiple cars and wanted to test drive a few. He didn't show us any car out of our price range and never pressured us into something we didn't want. He spent time with us even when he was there longer than his scheduled time. Bruce stayed with us during all the signing of the papers and even called the next day to see how we liked it. I really couldn't say anything bad about my experience there. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable. Even the financial manager was amazing! I would recommend anyone to go there and would like to buy another car there one day. More

A Tale of Two Dealerships OUR STORY: SCENARIO 1: Open car door. Set foot on pavement. Be accosted by the strong-arming, "I'm Gonna Sell You This Car Today" classic caricatu OUR STORY: SCENARIO 1: Open car door. Set foot on pavement. Be accosted by the strong-arming, "I'm Gonna Sell You This Car Today" classic caricature of your-worst-nightmare-of-a-car-salesman (new or used), circa the sixties. The only thing missing was the shiny suit. We explained that we were careful, deliberate buyers who took requisite time to research every aspect of our purchase until we were confident and wholly satisfied with our decision. Turns out the gentleman needed a hearing aid, for his push persisted. Still, we took a test drive and as we returned he confidently told us to park the vehicle in the SOLD section of the lot. STRIKE ONE! We returned to perusing the lot and then asked the salesman if he could get us a rough trade-in estimate for our 2009 vehicle (which, incidentally, we had purchased new and most satisfactorily from this very place). He quickly retorted that that would be a waste of his time until we had committed to some type of a deal. Still, he consulted with his manager, who arrived at the same assessment of our request. STRIKE TWO!! As we were leaving the salesman promised us that wherever we went, whatever deal we were offered, we must return to him because he could guarantee to sell us the exact same car for $100 less. We assured him that we would not be engaging in a game of TIT for TAT, Auto Version. STRIKE THREE!!! OUT we went, not wanting to "waste" any more of their time and never to return. SCENARIO 2: Open car door. Set foot on Balise pavement. Experience an entirely different world. We wandered the lot, and after a respectable, short period of time, Bruce Reis approached us. We told him of our style of buying, and he respected that from the outset. We felt comfortable with his genuine, sincere, confident approach to us and our buying preferences. SCORE ONE POINT! We enjoyed test-driving two vehicles and told Bruce we would likely be returning with further questions. During the following week, we received one wholly appropriate phone call from Mr. Reis offering any assistance we might need. In lieu of over-the-top pressure, Bruce conveyed a patience that assured us that our business truly mattered and he was willing to earn it. SCORE 2 POINTS!! On our second visit we asked Bruce if we could be provided a trade-in estimate for our 2009 car. Her said "sure" and in short time his manager Brandon Potter inspected our car and provided an acceptable figure. SCORE 3 POINTS!!! About a week later, we returned with a second car which we were also considering as a trade-in. Predictably, Bruce and Brandon quickly and expertly assessed it but this time gave us a number that made us wince. Sensing our disappointment, Brandon sought us out to explain his marketing constraints. As it turned out, we decided not to part with our precious convertible, so our disappointment was short-lived. SCORE 4 POINTS!!!! More time elapsed, more dealerships visited, and Bruce called periodically to "check in." It was always a pleasure to hear from him and he always answered every question and honored our every request. We thanked him for his patience and told him where we were in our buying process. The next time we returned to Balise we explained to Bruce that we had decided to purchase either his Nissan Murano SL or a competing luxury vehicle, both having scored top equal numbers on our Pros/Cons rubric. Damn! We loved them both and were having difficulty making a decision. Still no pressure from Bruce, but his later call to inform us that August 15 would be a big incentive date accelerated our decision. SCORE 5 POINTS!!!!! GAME OVER! BUT... Two very different games.... Two distinctly different approaches... AND THE WINNERS ARE: The affable, dedicated, responsible sales and finance teams of Balise Nissan (with special kudos to Bruce Reis, Brandon Potter, Desiree Merola, Ed McIntosh, and Pam DiSalvo), who from the start treated us respectfully, graciously, patiently, competently, and acknowledged that our time and theirs were equally important. AND... We clients who left the dealership with a car that we really love (this is the 3rd Murano SL we have owned) for a price that we found fair via an experience we found immensely enjoyable. And we are already spreading the word... JCW/RCW August 2015 More
