I want to comment on this dealership because I had a truly good experience with them and I feel like they deserve honest, positive feedback. My name is Andrea and I am a real person writing this review! I worked with Peter, Joe and Randy to purchase my 2006 Honda Element. I had some credit issues and 2 trades to deal with so it wasn't the easiest situation for them. These men treated me with respect, were straight forward and incredibly professional. I do my research when I buy anything, so going in to the dealership I knew what I wanted, I knew the pricing specs, the car reviews, trade-in values, loan rates, etc. Peter has an incredible knowledge about cars and their mechanics and an absolute no pressure approach that made this experience comfortable vs. the usual car-buying drama that is so often forced on consumers. Joe also is straight forward, responsive and professional. When quarried he provided me with answers about pricing that were completely in line with what my research had detailed about both the purchase car and the trade-ins. We negotiated the figures to what I needed in order to buy the car with none of the usual back and forth (let me check with the guy behind the curtain) angst. And Randy, the sales manager, is a veteran in sales and seems to be mentoring/managing his crew in a way that creates an atmosphere of excellence in customer service, respect, honest dealing and follow-through. I really needed this car. I needed a safe, reliable vehicle for my son and I. I have very limited resources and had to know that I was getting a good vehicle that I could afford and that would last me for many years. I feel that I was helped by this team in achieving my goal. I will report back on this website with an updated review in 6 months and hopefully will be able to say that the car, and any follow-up (if needed) with Balise Subaru, is actually as great as I anticipate it to be. We went to see a car we saw online at Balise. Everyone there seemed less than interested in helping us, stating that they were too busy. After 15 minutes Ed, the sales person came out to give us the keys to the car we were interested in, but had to help other customers. He told us not to steal the car or we'd be arrested...ok buddy. He even called us "kids" at one point. We told him we are not kids, and he basically blew up. Quite a temper on that guy. Anyway, stay away from these guys. Believe the low reviews on this site and ignore the "great reviews" as all those review are the staff giving themselves good reviews while they keep their customers waiting. More
My internet and buying experience was awesome, a big thanks to Bryan and David. They made the whole process pleasant and stress-free. My family ended up buying 2 new Subaru Legacy’s at Balise. He was upfront and honest I didn’t feel that he was hiding anything. His professionalism was exactly what we were looking for. Bryan had incredible knowledge about the vehicle and was able to answer all of our questions. It is not very often you see an employee with such passion about the car they are selling. On delivery day, Bryan came into the dealership on his day off to be there for delivery and making sure all of our questions would be answered. He walked us through everything on the vehicles and made sure we knew and were comfortable before leaving the lot. We have not had to refer to the manual, thanks Bryan. It was a pleasure to make such an important decision without the pressure and nonsense. A big thanks to Bryan and David you were both exceptional! I would strongly recommend Bryan and David at Balise, as I cannot complain at all about this dealership, or its employees. More
I went to Balise because they were advertising 0% financing for new Subaru's. I had price quotes from other dealers already but would have preferred to buy close to home and figured it would be easie financing for new Subaru's. The salesperson told me that in order to get 0% I had to pay MSRP or more than that depending on the car. One thing that really bothered me was the payment I was quoted. The price of the car was about $26;200 they quoted me a 5 year payment of $495. When I got home I did my own math and the same 5 year payment at 0% was $436. Somehow they were adding $60 a month in the payment whick adds up to about $3500 !!!! I called and asked the salesperson about it and he seemed to stumble and stutter with the answer. He said he would call me back but never did. I left his name out because I don't think he is at fault I think the problem is way above him. I called back twice but noone has called back. I'm very happy I didn't buy the car there. I don't know if they would've been able to slip the $3500 past me in the paperwork but they were definitely going to try. Its a very misleading and dirty way of doing business. More
Belise Warwick had just the subaru we wanted. We were a little unsure about buying from them since we live more than 2 hours away. James was amazing to work with, I would recommend him to friends and family looking for a new car. More
I went to Balise when I first began to consider a Subaru Forester to replace my Honda CRV. I had been happy with the CRV, but remembered how much I LOVED my 2004 Forester. I originally came in interested in the new Impreza, but went back to my old favorite Forester after looking at an Outback as well. Jerry was VERY helpful, gave me great information about each car, patiently test drove each one with me over multiple visits. He was also careful to only contact me when asked and was not pushy or pressuring in the sale. That was what kept me coming back. He also had great advice about my older Subaru, which was another thing that brought me back into the dealership. All in all a great experience that was made better by a wonderful salesperson, Jerry Cohen! More
I would love to thank Jerry helping with a new Subaru that I purchased one week ago. The service he provided is incredible. I never would expected a dealer as Jerry to spend hours on explaining every sin that I purchased one week ago. The service he provided is incredible. I never would expected a dealer as Jerry to spend hours on explaining every single part of the car to the buyer. Normally a dealer just let you sign the paper and hand you the key. It might take probably around 15 min. With Jerry I even didn't have to read the manual, set the clock, and so on. He does everything for you. I love the service here. If I buy another Subaru at RI I would still come back to Jerry. More
Our sales person gave a thorough review of the cars features. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff at the dealership was also very friendly. I wanted to send a note of thanks for the service staff at Balise Subaru in Warwick for their assistance last week. I stopped in there on Friday, February 10, 2012 because a flange had fallen out of the en at Balise Subaru in Warwick for their assistance last week. I stopped in there on Friday, February 10, 2012 because a flange had fallen out of the engine splash shield on my 2010 Impreza wagon. I needed to get the part replaced since I had to drive back to Maryland a few days later and the shield probably would have fallen off if I didn?t get the flange replaced. I didn?t get the name of the Service Advisor who assisted me when I got there. He was a younger man with sandy blonde hair. He was very helpful and courteous and figured out the part I needed and connected me with the parts department, where the staff was helpful, too. Although the part wasn?t at Balise, they reserved one for me up in Smithfield. I didn?t mind that I?d have to go to Smithfield, but obviously would have been happier if the part was at your dealership. I thanked everyone and walked out the door. As I was walking around the Lot looking at cars, one of the mechanics from your shop flagged me down and asked if I had the blue Impreza with the loose splash shield. I told him I was and he explained to me that they dug up the part in the shop and replaced it on my car. Given, it was a $3 part and something I could have repaired myself I was extremely appreciative that the staff took the lead and replaced the part without charging me. No one had to go out of the way to assist me yet everyone I came in contact with did. This experience went a long way with me. Incidentally, my parents will be in the market for a new Subaru this spring. Because I received such good customer service at Balise, they will now shop there first when they are looking to purchase their car. Again, I would like to express my appreciation of your staff for fixing the part on my car and ensuring that my family had a safe drive back home. In this day and age, good customer service deserves to be recognized. More
