My 2nd 4Runner My 11 year old 4Runner had experienced increasing maintenance costs over the last two years, including two complete breakdowns where the vehicle was n My 11 year old 4Runner had experienced increasing maintenance costs over the last two years, including two complete breakdowns where the vehicle was not drivable and required towing. On my way to work on 10 July my check engine light illuminated and my VSC turned off (signs of another service bill). I turned around and drove directly to Balise and put the vehicle in the shop (I had an appointment for state inspection on the 11th) and headed home. I decided that this was the last time my loyal and trusted steed was going into surgery. I returned to the showroom around 10 AM to determine which vehicle would replace my 1st 4Runner. After a few moments browsing the lot and showroom Sonny Singh approached and we discussed my intentions to purchase a Highlander and that I needed to sit in the vehicle to see how it felt (I'm used to the 4Runner's configuration, after 11 years). My eye was drawn to the sharp looking 4Runner that was front and center in the showroom. After inspecting and going over the Highlander features, including a short spin around the lot, I mentioned that the 4Runner was only $500 more. It wasn't long before I was test driving the 4Runner and Sonny was pointing out that I could possibly make a deal that day instead of prolonging it over the weekend. At 3:00 PM I was headed home in my 2nd 4Runner. For some specifics that may influence future buyers: There was never any pressure to buy a specific model or trim line or bundle. If I had said Highlander it would have been the Highlander. The entire staff presented a professional appearance and was able to answer any of my questions without having to look anything up. Sonny took the time to understand what I needed and made every effort to deliver it. The staff went to extra lengths to ensure I was comfortable with the monthly payments, partly because I (and my spouse) have purchased and serviced our vehicles at that location since before it was purchased by Balise. That was nice. While I've highlighted a couple of people that I met and worked with, everyone that I dealt with was pleasant, communicative, and supportive. Sonny Singh gets the extra nod and I recommend that anyone looking to buy at Balise Toyota on Post Road look him up. While this is a new car purchase review I'd like to also point out that Josh French and Frank Cardinale are a couple of people I've dealt with in the Service department and they also represent Balise in a very positive manner, so I've marked them here even though they were not part of this transaction. Bob Cipriano bent over backwards to give us a car with the features we wanted and made the car buying experience pressure-free. He had all the extras ordered and installed for delivery - one and 1/2 days. Besides sale, finance, insurance and delivery went smoothly. They spent maybe 45 minutes with us setting up the car and reviewing the many features. Great! More

I was walking across the sales floor went past a few salespeople who did not acknowledge me and continued to see a blue Venza on the sales floor. A gentlemen approached me and we begin to talk about the vehicle. His name is Syed Shah and he was the best thing that could have happened to me. I told him my situation that I did not need to buy a vehicle this day but I was wondering if I would get a deal I could not refuse. Especially at the end of the month. He took me outside and we walked the entire lot looking for a 6cyl. Venza in a color I may like. He was so pleasant and patient. He was Great.
