My family members and I have purchased numerous vehicles from Barry sanders supercenter. Roger Creager has been our salesman from the beginning. Everyone knows the dealership needs to make money but Roger u from Barry sanders supercenter. Roger Creager has been our salesman from the beginning. Everyone knows the dealership needs to make money but Roger understands the customer also needs a good deal. He’s an excellent salesman and human being. That being said I have always had to read the fine print with the finance department and argue with them about the final agreed price with the salesman. They never try to confirm with Roger about our final agreement and that is how I know it’s not a “misunderstanding” between Roger and I. I have only dealt with Roger Creager as our salesman with five different vehicles. Each time was a different finance person but the same song and dance. Be prepared to negotiate with the salesman and then argue with the finance department. I have also used their service department a few times over the years with both company vehicles and personal vehicles. Recalls and warranty repair service is excellent. If your going to get normal vehicle maintenance items like oil changes and air filters serviced, you will find the quality of oil and items used may be subpar. I’m not referring to full synthetic vs conventional oil or hepa air filters vs base air filters. In my experience they do not use quality conventional engine oil and other components. They use the cheapest stuff available from local parts stores. This allows them to charge a comparable price for the service and still make money. Warranty and major repairs are fine. Normal scheduled maintenance may be better at a trusted shop. None of the negatives in this review are directed at the employees. Everyone I’ve spoken with have been kind and polite even when dealing with an adverse situation. The mechanics do not get to choose what oil goes in my car and the finance department is trained to perform certain tasks. It’s this reason that the dealership will receive 4 stars or better. All went well. They contacted the salesman, Roger, and he verified the work. All went as agreed. Very pleased with our purchase, the way we were treated and our needs taken care of. I initially had an appt on January 2nd for my first routine oil change. I received a call from the service dept. stating that I would have to reschedule to a weekday because there was a recall on the c routine oil change. I received a call from the service dept. stating that I would have to reschedule to a weekday because there was a recall on the car and recalls are not taken care of on Saturdays. That was fine, I understood. I also mentioned that because we purchased the car so late in the evening, a detail was not done and our salesman, Parish, said that we could have it taken care of while the car was being serviced at one of the appts. I was told that it would be done. I arrived on January 15th for the rescheduled appt and in the end the recall was not done because the remedy was not available, the detail was not done because it was not in the system and I had to miss work rather than come on a Saturday. The young man that checked my car in and helped me was nothing but polite and apologetic, so absolutely nothing against him, it was just disappointing that I possibly would not have had to miss work had someone let me know that the recall remedy was not available and that the detail was not in the system. More
