I do appreciate the snacks and brewed coffee selection, although a liquid creamer would be stellar. Staff was pleasant. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for my car to make it into a bay for a state inspection and I suspect it may have been longer had I not made a few appearances at check-in to inquire. I realize this is perhaps not a pressing issue nor is it a profitable service but it does suggest that my time is not respected by having to wait more than an hour after my scheduled time. More
This was our first time servicing the truck for and oil change and tire rotation. When we called we were told it was first come, first serve, so I showed up early Monday morning (8am) only to be told it wa change and tire rotation. Thankfully, the advisor told me they could “squeeze me in” for an appointment at 11am, so I came back then. I had already been waiting 45 minutes when Chris from service came to speak to me privately. Apparently, a technician had hit another vehicle with my truck, damaging my $1200 new bumper. They had even done the oil change or rotation yet. This was NOT the first time the service department damaged my vehicle. In fact THE DAY I BOUGHT IT a technician did not pull the truck fully into the bay and closed the steel door down on my gate scraping and damaging the paint and plastic bracketing. I hadn’t even driven it off the lot yet. So the day of this service, Chris was very apologetic and told me she’d spoken to the manager, whom was not on site that day. No manager was on duty for service that day. They agreed to replace the bumper and comp that days’s oil change and tire rotation. There was no way I was allowing their service department to touch my vehicle again after the oil change so it was agreed that the dealership should pay for the bumper at cost and cut me a check the following day. While I appreciate Chris’ candor, she did admit they cleaned off paint from the other vehicle on my bumper prior to showing me the damage. The spot in which they parked my Titan XD was clearly meant for compact parking and my truck should’ve never been put there. After hitting the other vehicle, the technician STILL parked in the too small space! I will never bring my vehicle or do business with Bates Nissan again. More
Not sure if there has been a change in management recently; but there needs to be a review of hiring practices and ensure the most qualified person that is offered employment possess Customer Service recently; but there needs to be a review of hiring practices and ensure the most qualified person that is offered employment possess Customer Service Skills and can verbally articulate problems/solutions. Additionally, need to look at the practice of attempting to make people spend money for no reason when requesting they complete a State Inspection. The Nissan Brand, well Bates Nissan is not A place I would recommend anyone to patronize. More
