We came to Bay Ridge Honda after seing a vehicle we were interested in on Autotrader.com. We received a salesperson that was already working with somebody else and was back and forth between us and them. T interested in on Autotrader.com. To make a long story short, we expressed interest in a car on the lot and asked if he could work with us on making it work for our budget. He was not helpful and kind of blew us off to go to the people he was already working with when we came in. We indicated the car was not yet detailed, however we would be interested if he had time for us. The following day (my birthday) i received a phone call from Jeff telling me that he really wants to make this purchase happen and wants to work with me on making it happen. He asked that i come in and i indicated that i was unable to do so because i had plans. He told me he would get the car detailed and cleaned for me and "its all mine". He sent over the carfax on the vehicle and thoroughly discussed the price and the trade in value for the car i have now. I told him i could come in the next day, which was March 3rd after work, at 7pm. After leaving work early and having my husband do the same, we showed up at the dealership by 7pm, where Jeff was once again with other customers even though we had an appointment to meet. He gave me the keys for the car to inspect it after the detail job. Needless to say, the car was still dirty on the inside, had even more scuffs than we intially thought and we wanted to discuss it with him further. We waited about 40 minutes for him to finish up with the other clients and he came over to me and in an accusatory tone told me that 15 minutes before we came to the dealership, a woman came in and gave hime a $200 deposit on the car and we did not. I told him that we made a verbal agreement and NOT ONCE did he mention any deposits. He downright wasted our time and he was not even the least bit apologetic when i mentioned he could of called me when this other interested woman came into the store, as he had my number the entire time. Why in the world would he give me the keys to a car with a deposit on it already in the first place? This was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will NEVER do business with Bay Ridge Honda and will be sure to encourage all my friends and family to never go back. What a nasty, rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional salesperon and dealership. FYI, my father in law was the top salesperson IN THE COUNTRY for 20 years for another brand, so my husband and I completely know the deal. More
Nice atmosphere when I walked in. Searched the system for the car i wanted. Very informative! The big plus, Sal came in on his day off just to finish the deal. The clincher in making our decision was the Honda promotion for 1.9% APR on their used Accords. To add to that, Bay Ridge Honda did have the best deals for internet-priced vehicles we were interested promotion for 1.9% APR on their used Accords. To add to that, Bay Ridge Honda did have the best deals for internet-priced vehicles we were interested in (compact or mid-sized sedans). So price and financing-wise, they were already at the top of our shortlist. Jeff, our sales representative, was also helpful, friendly and professional. He was straighforward, without the "hype" of irritating salesmen. He answered all our questions patiently, advised us to be careful in the important paperwork, and worked with our budget. At the end of the sales process, before handing over the car, he even gave us a detailed overview of the car's features, all very helpful tips for everyday use. Bottom-line, Honda has a good track record in my family. Our car before this new one was a 17-year-old Civic that was still running beautifully. Moving on to an Accord is an investment I am happy to make. More
