Once we honed onto the car we wanted Mark and Boris (Allstate agent at the facility) helped out with insurance. Mr. Mills wrapped up the finance end of things and offered competitive pricing on services (LoJack, maintenance, extended warranty, tire protection). When it came time to get the keys Mark took the time to show me the key components of the car. Thanks for making this a great car buying experience. It was so nice to have the staff at Bay Ridge Honda make it such a comfortable experience from beginning to end. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Our salesperson, Jose Gonzalez was the best! He really listened to what we needed, and patiently answered all of our questions. He made the whole process flow easily and swiftly. Once our car was ready he took the time to help us understand the electronics and connect our smart phones. It's so refreshing to get such good customer service and professionalism. We will definitely be recommending Jose and Bay Ridge Honda. More

If you love shady and skeevy salespeople, avoid Mark D. :) From my Yelp review: We had a few models in mind (Civic, Versa, Sentra, Altima, Accord, in that order) and decided to try the two nearest Nissan an From my Yelp review: We had a few models in mind (Civic, Versa, Sentra, Altima, Accord, in that order) and decided to try the two nearest Nissan and Honda dealers by us. We didn't want to spend more than $18,000, and we were already pre-qualified for an auto loan with my bank. (I wanted to get a loan through the Municipal Credit Union, but doing so was only slightly better than pulling teeth with a crane despite my really good credit history.) When I called in explaining what I was after, the saleswoman on the phone confirmed their inventory and booked me in for an appointment smoothly. You can tell that the place means business upon walking in. The dealership is very organized and easy to walk through, and the cars in the showroom are really well-placed. Everyone dresses really, really well. It's not like walking into the Ferrari or Mercedes dealerships, but you'll feel a little underdressed in comparison if you're rocking casual clothing. I didn't really understand this until I saw how sloppy-looking everyone was at the Nissan dealership. Appearance really matters. The lady at the front desk was quick to see us (we came in when they opened) and quick to pair us with a salesperson. We worked with Mark Dance (he's on DealerRater). He was quick to find us cars that initially fit our budget (even though he only showed us two) and didn't try to push us into something more expensive. Mark was really, really, REALLY easy to talk to and communicate with and was very patient with the many questions I had. He also worked with us when we tried to get the total cost of the car down to something closer to its appraised value, didn't once try to run a credit check to negotiate prices and didn't once try to push us into some ridiculous monthly payment scheme. When we presented him with a counter-offer from the Nissan down the road (he was perfectly fine with us visiting them; apparently, some salespeople are much more aggressive about this), him and his floor manager were able to get us an *incredible* deal on an Accord EX-L (with the works minus the overpriced nav system) that was extremely low mileage and in 100% mint condition. Despite the final price of the car being slightly higher than what we originally targeted (~$18k + $2000 LoJack install) and despite Nissan coaxing us with an even better counteroffer, we decided on closing with him mostly because we liked him and the place *so* much better. Another thing I really liked and respected is that everyone seems to *keep it real.* The insurance person, Lou, despite selling All-State, not only allowed us to call GEICO right in front of him to get a solid quote, but also helped guide me through the process to ensure that I wasn't setting us up for failure (despite GEICO having a significantly better rate). Lou didn't even try to sell to us. I respected that a lot. We came in at 9am thinking of getting a Civic. By 6pm (we closed the place out), we had a top-of-the-line Accord, plates, registration, insurance, and warranty. The only thing we're missing is LoJack activation (which we're getting done on Monday.) I was *extremely* happy with my experience. It was actually one of the smoothest customer service experiences I've had in a good while, which was ironic considering how I was expecting to be a shark the entire time. They will be our dealer of choice when we buy again. I tipped Mark $140 and will be absolutely glad to give him more deals in the future. More

First and foremost, Mr. Anthony has showed me that he was a truly professional and has a sense of humor and right there I was decided not to went or visited any order dealerships because I knew that I was in good hands. Then, a week later before my actual signing date I read this from "The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau found borrowers' creditworthiness did not account for boosting loan rates. It said the AHFC made minorities pay $150 to $250 more on average more than white borrowers."--this is the long battle that folk of color fight, particularly poor folk--everything is more expensive when you are poor: rents, mortgages, cost and quality of food...and i do know this i have lived in many places and seen it for myself--my question--why? Then, I said that's not good and there is no way I'm going to purchase that vehicle anymore from Honda and I went to the dealership and canceled my purchase. Then, a couple days later I said to myself that I was really impressed by the exceptional and the expertise customer service that I was received from Mr. Mark Anthony and I should get a second opinion from him to enlightened me about the whole situation. Then, I was glad I did so because Mr. Mark Anthony was one of a kind ready to get me back on the track. I trusted his opinion and felt extremely comfortable asking questions regarding what I read and once more Mr. Mark Anthony was really hearted, generous very truthful, and he was very helpful and provided me with great info and Honda is very fortunate to have a guy like him working for them. To be frank with you if you are looking for a good car buying experience with Honda do not hesitate to go at BAY RIDGE HONDA and ask to see Mr. Mark Anthony Esmade. More
