We are truly sorry you are having trouble with the paint of your RAV4. Based on the timeline of everything there is no way for us to have damaged your vehicle at the time of your service appointment. We attempted to get Toyota to cover the repair, however that was declined, and it was determined outside influence caused the damage. Like I said you are completely avoiding the facts but would rather dig your heels in not being liable then look at the only explanation. The fact is that you are the only people to have touched my car. I took my brand new car in for repairs at your shop, you kept it overnight, I used your car wash, and a few weeks later I notice (not aware of when the damage was actually visible) bald spots where the paint was rubbed down on the front end of my car. I immediately notified you and you told me to take it to Ron Tonkin dealership where I purchased my car. 5 of their service mechanics all showed me where line marks from a buffer wheel was pressed down too hard on my car and wrote a statement that a buffer wheel caused the damage. They told me to go to you which I did and showed you the same. Your first comment to me is that Ron Tonkin must have caused the damage when they detailed my car when I initially purchased it but it showed up 6-7 months later, which I had concerns about because that didn't make sense. Later after stating that your CCTV footage did not go back to the time I brought my car in you stated that it must be a paint defect which is a complete contradiction to what 5 Toyota service techs with Ron Tonkin stated. When I asked you to write a statement since it was in contradiction to what other service techs from Toyota are claiming Jim Waters your Service Director refused saying I would need to contact 1-800-331-4331 and he would not write anything. He said that I would not like what he would write - that it came from outside influence. I must point out that Jim has not even looked at my car yet so why would he admittedly state that it was from outside influence without even inspecting the damage? There has been so much double-talking and lies that there is no doubt that something happened to my car in the care of Beaverton Toyota and someone tried to cover it up using a buffer wheel which caused damage that showed up later. The phone number Jim gave me is for my warranty which would not be covered since it is not a paint defect and obvious that it came from a buffer wheel. Toyota told me to open a claim with the dealership which Jim refused me and directed me to warranty instead. After reading through so many comments about unprofessional and unethical business practices with this dealership I will be reporting the damages to the consumer protection agency and pursuing legal action. Your blatant disregard of this with a 'timeline' excuse is evident in your complete lack of responsibility.

If the General Manager would like to inspect the damages to my car he or she can contact me directly to schedule a date and time. You have my phone number on file. I will not be contacting Kayleen. I asked Kayleen for the name of the General Manager but never received a response. I wanted to follow up with this experience to state that I met with a Beaverton Toyota executive and he made good on the damages to my vehicle by covering the cost of the damages as a gesture of 'goodwill'. They are not taking responsibility but I am glad to have someone with this organization step up to do the right thing.
