The sales personnel were very helpful with no undue pressure . Tyler was pleasant to deal with and very helpful. I was impressed with how they went to and outside dealership to locate the truck I was looking for and brought it to Beaverton for me. This is probably the easiest vehicle sale I have had. More

We already knew the that we probably wanted a Prius. Sales was very helpful in showing us the cars, test driving, etc. We borrowed a car for the afternoon to get a feel for it. We slept on it overnight. We returned on Sunday and decided that we wanted a red 2020 Prius Prime, which the dealership determined they had in inventory. We were driven out to the extra lot and shown the car, which we decided we wanted. We were really excited that we had found the car that we wanted and pleased with how smoothly the process had gone. However, when the sales person went to start the car and reverse it out of the spot, it made a terrible noise and smell--clearly something was broken. We were really disappointed that we wouldn't be able to drive a car off the lot that day after all (we would absolutely not buy that one and we did not want the blue alternative). Then followed a bit of confusion at the dealership that could have been handled much more smoothly. We were initially told that there would be a trailer fee for bringing in another car from another dealership. This was shocking news (given the emotional roller coaster of finding the car you love and then discovering it was broken) as it didn't seem right that we would have to pay for the fact that the dealership had a broken car on its lot. We said that we did not think that we should have to pay that and the response to this was not "no" but also not a clear, "oh yes, this is our problem to fix". It was also not entirely clear how long it would take to bring in another car. We left Sunday night having made a $1000 deposit but without certainty on when the car would arrive. Monday passed and we did not hear from the salesperson all day. Finally, on Tuesday we were told that our car was on the way and indeed we were able to complete the sale and drive it home at closing (9pm) on Tuesday night. We did not pay the fee. Overall, it turned out well. However, Beaverton Toyota should know that I wouldn't have told 10 of my friends between Saturday afternoon and Tuesday evening about the broken Prius on their lot and the bad customer service response if the immediate response to the broken car scenario had been "Not at all a problem. We can get a new car in the model and color that you want AT NO CHARGE TO YOU in the next one or two days. Thank you for your patience" We should not have had to insist that we not pay the trailer fee. In my mind, this oversight shows a lack of agility in terms of responding to customer service scenarios that can come up during what is an emotional purchasing process. More
