Suggestion! When I picked up the Highlander in the afternoon, it was daylight, and I drove it to the facility my husband was in. When I left there, it was dark, When I picked up the Highlander in the afternoon, it was daylight, and I drove it to the facility my husband was in. When I left there, it was dark, and as I was driving along, a car blinked its lights at me.. Suddenly, I realized my headlights weren't on although when I left the car for service, lights came on automatically. Scrambling to get some lights on, I finally did but being dark, I couldn't tell much about the control I had chosen. Arriving at home (safely), I parked the car in its usual place, and didn't think about turning the lights off since always before they went off automatically. You can guess what happened. I would suggest that an effort be made to leave on whatever controls the owner has. More
