First time making a "clear" purchase We did our best to eliminate all of the guesswork beforehand to make this transaction as quick and efficient as possible for us and Beaverton Toyota. We knew we wanted a used RAV4 with less than 30K miles. We knew we were going to pay cash/write a check so would not have to go through the financing process.. We did not have a trade in so wouldn't have to go back and forth on the how much a trade in would be worth. We found the RAV 4 we wanted and figured we would make an offer, as per the usual car buying process. We were told that was not possible. Not an option in the Clear program. That's fine, but the Clear program says the customer will be in and out quickly...much faster than normal. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out that way. Apparently, there was a paperwork log jam...it was a busy Sunday afternoon...so had to wait quite a while to finalize the paperwork. Then another hiccup...when we went to pick up the car, it had not been cleaned. Guess there was a mixup and the cleaning process hadn't started yet. No big deal. Our guy, Hasan, expedited that process. So eventually, we drove the RAV 4 off the lot but soon noticed that it was almost out of gas. Again, no big deal but thought it was worth a mention. Having said all of that, we were fine with Beaverton Toyota overall. The RAV 4 is great. Hasan did a good job. But you might want to make sure the Clear program delivers on its promise. More
RAV 4 Lease Superb !!! Buying or leasing can be a strain, especially going in after a 10 hour workday. Dealings with Toyota have always been easy, and this was Superb !!! My lease was due to expire in 8 days, and i either needed to purchase the leased car, lease a different car, or take public transportation the rest of my life (!!!) Zach not only listened to what I needed, he listened to my stories. My first car was a 1967 Toyota Corona, and my last car will be a Toyota. More
Slaves to the OBD2 Connector We brought in a 4Runner for hesitating acceleration. They found one minor issue, supposedly tested it, and pronounced it good. We also got the timing belt replaced, brakes fixed, oil change, fuel cleaner done. After driving it home, the problem still presented. Took it back, talked to the mechanic and did a drive with him. He was unable to diagnose the problem, but did say it wasn't the transmission. He said the car was just "old." So I (personally... with minimal auto mechanic background) decided to try a couple tanks of premium and if that didn't work to change out spark plugs (which were 30,000 mile old). The check engine light went on 2 days later. Drove it to the dealer, and 1/6 spark plugs was failing. This was a terrible example of mechanical understanding, critical thinking and troubleshooting. I'm not impressed by the mechanics' (plural) ability to diagnose a faltering engine. The only reason they figured it out was with the OBD2 output after the Engine Failure light went on. Greg in service was friendly, polite and accommodating as well as apologetic. Technically, the dealership's service department gets a grade of D. This is probably something a trained mechanic should have known instantly, or at least known how to take troubleshooting steps. More

Eminently transparent This is the first time in my long time that I can say buying a car was a pleasurable experience. The price on our 2017 RAV4 hybrid was quite fair, although I remain skeptical of the value of the extended warranty in such a reliable vehicle. More
