Went in for a used car, drove away with a new car. I purchased a used car from Tonkin Hyundai and I was not impressed with neither the service nor the car itself. That said, what I really wanted was a Prius C and a no pressure way in which to purchase it. Over the last 3 weeks I went to 3 other dealerships to find my preferred car. Because I am female presenting, I expected I wouldn't be taken seriously and I was right. All of them gave me the same run around where I had to talk up my trade in value and get a fair price on the new car, and then the back and forth with the myserious finance man behind the curtain. Hours and hours of my life wasted at these places where they were pushy and rude all the while. Finally, I saw what I thought was the perfect used prius c that I wanted at Beaverton Toyota. I emailed them right away to hold it for me and that I would be there in 40 minutes or less. I got a response very shortly after. When I pulled in, that car I wanted had a reserved sign with my name on it! Zack Berman greeted me and gave me an overview of how Beaverton Toyota, explaining how they were different than your usual dealership, how you deal with one person for the whole experience, the lowest price is listed and available for everyone, and the highest price allowable for the trade in is given by default. Quite the contrast to my previous experiences at other dealers. I test drove the car I initially went in to see, only to realize that it was misrepresented on the website as the three trim, when it was a two. I also gave a used regular prius a whirl to see the difference. What I finally decided on was a new 2016 prius c three in the color I wanted, the trim with the features I was looking for, and as an added bonus it already came equipped with all weather mats which I would have done after market anyway! The whole process took 5 hours due to my wanting to test drive the various cars and because I had a trade in. The paperwork was easy as it was all digitally done on an ipad for the most part. As with all dealers, I was given the spiel on add ons such as the extended warranty and pre paid maintenance and tire and wheel coverage. I opted out of extra warranty but went with the pre paid maintenance and tire and wheel so I won't have to worry about having to pay out of pocket for basic care over the next 5 years. I appreciated that I wasn't guilt tripped into buying all the extra things after declining (other dealerships are very pushy even after you say no). The financing portion went better than I had hoped as well. My credit isn't the best and I am just finishing up college and starting a new job so my income is wibbly-wobbly at best currently. They worked with me, however, and informed me of a recent grad discount that I didn't know about! That's really awesome for Toyota to have that promotion and for the finance folks to clue me in on it so I wouldn't miss out. Overall, I am very, very impressed. And I say this having dealt with 5 dealerships in a month! They are everything they claim they are in how they describe their dealership on their website. No pressure, easy going. What I appreciated the most, in addition to how they are indeed different there, is that there was no sexist undertones with my interactions with Zack Berman or other members of the staff and I felt like I was treated as a fellow human being throughout the whole process. If you're in the market for a car, give them a chance! And ask for Zack! More

Also needed some relatively minor engine work on our Camry with 140K miles. The service guy helped us sort out which recommendations were the most pertinent. Work was done in a timely manner. I felt like our service guy remembered us when we returned without having to ask our names. The guy I usually work with, Rob Simchen, never seems to remember me, though I've worked with him several times this past year. It's nice to be remembered from drop-off to pick up! More

When I needed to get my car serviced, he was very helpful and made sure that the process went smoothly for myself even if it was difficult for him. He made sure that my needs were met, and that I always left satisfied at the end. He demonstrates a total commitment to outstanding customer service and made sure that I knew that he was on my side with any issues that may occur. Daniel also made sure after the sale was done or the completion of a project, that he followed up to see how things were going. Coomber makes false promises to make a sale I bought a used 2103 Subaru from Ajay. I took the car home the next day and the light was still on but I scheduled an appointment with their service team to check it out. No big deal, I thought. I was eventually sent to Carr Subaru because Beaverton Toyota couldn't fix it for whatever reason. Ajay assured me they would reimburse me for getting it fixed at Carr Subaru. Turns out, the car had been in an accident (not totaled, but also not on the Carfax) and a hole was punctured in the windshield wiper reservoir so no matter how many times you filled it with liquid it literally leaked out the bottom. I called and emailed Ajay numerous times about what happened, seeking recourse. Of course, it only took him about 3 weeks to actually get back to me to discuss. His response was that they could not do anything because they, too, did not know about the accident and were not liable. I call BS because there literally a hole in the reservoir and they never took care of the light. Of course this all happened after I was constantly reminded to write him a good review on here. More
