Poor service for a flawed product Good product (Toyota Sienna) but bad part (super loud electric motor for power steering) for which Toyota needs to take responsibility. Service guy said that although it is loud and may get louder I should take my "gripe" directly to Toyota. Basically, it is not Beaverton Toyota's problem and my complaint isn't valid-a mere gripe. It is Beaverton Toyota's problem, however, because the sales people at Beaverton Toyota talk about how quiet, reliable and durable the Sienna is. Yet the service people say 30k miles is a lot of miles and a part that makes a noticeable groaning noise every time I turn the wheel is to be expected. Apparently the quiet cabin the sales people hype is simply a sales ploy. Beaverton Toyota can't have it both ways. More

Fantastic service! I am new to Oregon and needed an oil change. I had not had great service from my last Toyota dealer in San Diego so I was nervous to go back to a Toy I am new to Oregon and needed an oil change. I had not had great service from my last Toyota dealer in San Diego so I was nervous to go back to a Toyota dealer for service. I was very pleasantly surprised! Every employee I came in contact with was very nice and friendly. I was assigned to Andrew Blaine as my service advisor and he was great. On my appointment notes, I had mentioned that I wanted to follow up with some of the recall/warranty extensions that had been sent out for my car over the years and sure enough, before he even walked me back to his desk, he checked my dash, my visor and discussed the engine oil test. When we got to his desk, he pulled up all warranty extensions and recalls and quickly walked me through which ones I was still eligible for and which ones had expired. Instead of just saying "tough luck" on the expired ones, he offered solutions and alternative ideas on how to get those items repaired. I decided to wait for my cars oil change and Andrew directed me to the very nice, clean and roomy waiting area and even made sure to tell me the wifi name after seeing that I had brought my laptop with me. The service didn't take a very long time and Andrew came out and sat with me while he went over his recommendations. There was some residual coolant that was found on my engine which concerned him. I explained that I had had to have my radiator replaced twice in the last 8 months down in San Diego because it was replaced incorrectly and that the coolant may have been left over from that. Andrew went back to my car, took photos of my engine and then came back to show me so that I could see exactly what was going on. He also had the service guy clean my engine so that when I bring my car back to have my dash repair completed, they could check to make sure I'm not leaking new coolant. Andrew made me feel like I was the most important client he had that day. He never made me feel rushed, listened patiently while I explained the issues that I had with San Diego and was quick to offer suggestions. I have never had service like that! More

Nontransparent service fee! I've always thought this company did a good job dealing with their customers. At my last visit however, I was sorely disappointed. My final bill was higher than what I had been quoted and when asked why, they pointed out a 5% service fee on the total bill. No one had mentioned that there was a service fee, nor did they explain why it was being charged. When I wrote a similar review on their national site, I was contacted by their local customer care person. She apologized and explained that this was a recent new policy initiated by the General Manager. She refunded my service fee but this is totally unacceptable price gouging. I don't understand how they could have the nerve to charge you exorbitant prices to begin with and then add on a service fee for no particular reason. Their 5% service fee cost me about $13. For $13, Beaverton-Toyota has lost a valued customer who has spent thousands of dollars at their dealership over the past 10 years. Seems like a stupid decision on their part. Make sure you contest any service fee they try to charge you and tell them how unfair this practice is. More
