Work done timely, costs up front and no surprise extra add-ons. Recommendations made, but no extra pressure unless really needed. Also enjoy the waiting room and amenities. More

Are this really salesman or are we being pranked? So, in our hunt for new vehicle, we stopped at Beaverton Toyota to follow up on some questions we had. The first time we stopped was last week and OMG the salesman was totally ignorant of his product. Not just a little bit but by a WHOLE lot. I was asking questions that he didn't even understand. He was able to remember his code to get the keys so we could drive a couple but he was not much help. SO..... Tonight, we stopped by and spoke to a different salesman. OMFG.... I couldn't believe it. My question was "are the following items available in the 4runner- Adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Memory seat?" his answer...."I don't know, lets go out on the lot and look at the window stickers" Oh gosh, I couldn't believe that A) he didn't know, and B) the only way he knew how to find out was to randomly look at car stickers. So after looking at car stickers we came back in and he pulled out an Ipad and and said we could find out by using it. He pulls up the dealer's page and found 4 vehicles and gave it to me saying yah, those should have it. BUT, it did not say anywhere anything that would confirm or deny the questions. Oh wait, I got ahead of myself....... This guy DID NOT KNOW, NOR COULD HE UNDERSTAND THE TERM "MEMORY SEAT". xxx???? I explained that is 2 buttons that say memory 1 and Memory 2 to remember the seat, mirror and steering wheel positions. His response.... "well, don't they all do that automatically?" OMG..... SO, he finally went to his boss and asked him. The response on his return was......" Oh yes, my boss says those items definitely come in the limited model". Oh, so I am suppose to spend $40k+ based on what his boss SAYS? I don't think so. I was starting to loose patience with they guy by now... I responded by saying "you'll have to excuse me if I don't accept what your boss says as truth until I see it on paper". This went on for a while and I was trying to exit gracefully but this guy kept saying that we could 'add those items on' My response was "my gosh, if we have to special order each one, the price will be out of control" He really wanted to hang on to us. He then asked what items we wanted and he would look through their inventory and see if they had any vehicles with them on. BTW, during this time, I took his Ipad away, went to the toyota factory website and figured out that none of those options are offered. I said what I had found but he STILL wanted to check the inventory. I told him for the 8th or 9th time...." Adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Memory Seat." He wanted me to list more and I would not. I told him that IF he was able to find just the Adaptive cruise control I would be shocked" So, he went back over to his boss (for about the 3rd or 4th time) and this time he came back saying "Yah, my boss says there is no way to get those options" Holy crap.... what happened to the "trust us, those options are on the vehicle"??????? So, that has been our lovely adventures with Beaverton Toyota!! More
