I had a windshield crack caused by the integrated wiper de-icer -- it suddenly cracked one morning while using it. I brought it in and the service manager started looking at it. He wouldn't listen to me or believe me that it even had this feature (it was later confirmed). His assessment was that it was a rock chip that caused a weak spot. He showed me the spot where the "chip" was, but it looked like no rock chip I've ever seen (very clean w/no spidering and down low). In his 5 minutes of looking at it, he declared that Toyota won't cover it and wouldn't even entertain the possibility that it wasn't what he said it was. Another employee, Patrice, was great, though. She went out of her way to get me information on getting a replacement at a reasonable cost since it would be out of my pocket. There are three Toyotas in my driveway, all purchased at Beaverton Toyota. I'm pretty sure I'll be driving a little further next time I purchase a car. More
