Unclear if I needed service but got it anyway I received a notice stating I needed a 40K service. I had just been in for a 5K oil check and it was almost 40K miles. When I assumed the 25K service I received a notice stating I needed a 40K service. I had just been in for a 5K oil check and it was almost 40K miles. When I assumed the 25K service was taken with an oil change it showed up on my record as not completed. I explained all this to rep and even tho I was in 3 weeks prior, they did another oil change, used up a prepaid oil change for that and then to my surprise was told my rear brakes were 3 mm and they recommended replacing them . Really? In 3 weeks I used 2mm of brakes? I felt like there was something fishy about this. More

This time I am less than impressed. I am trying to comply with an oil consumption test and it seems some of the service managers are not well informed on how to do one properly. When I I am trying to comply with an oil consumption test and it seems some of the service managers are not well informed on how to do one properly. When I started it I discussed with the service manager that my car would not make 1100 miles without more oil as my records show I have to put in 1 quart every 500 miles. He agreed I could bring it in midway and the technician would record the mileage and add some oil. I did so at 500+ miles. When I returned to complete the test I got a different service manager and a different technician. The new technician blew off my efforts and restarted the test because I had been in midway. When I pointed out to the second service manager that if I was not to come back at all unless the red light for oil showed up on my dash the first guy should have said so and not allowed me to come in midway. Only at that point did her read the previous records. He said he would ask a manager when they cam back from training if my test would be allowed. I never heard anything back. More

Excellent drop-in service I dropped in for a check of the "check engine" light. After diagnosis by a technician (Cliff), the problem was solved and an additional amount of prev I dropped in for a check of the "check engine" light. After diagnosis by a technician (Cliff), the problem was solved and an additional amount of preventative things were suggested. All told the process took about 2 1/2 hours but now we have a very reliable 20 year old car. "Old" folks don't need new cars but do need reliable transportation which we do have thanks to the folks at Beaverton Toyota. More
