I have yet to spend a dime on my car other than tires, wiper blades, gas and oil changes. I have had most of my service done at Beaverton Toyota since I moved into Portland a few years ago. I had a checkup and oil change/tire rotation a few weeks ago and they told me I needed a headlight replaced (they quoted me 110 for lab and 14 dollars for the lightbulb as I recall. I politely declined and bought the lightbulb at a parts store for $13. I tried to change the bulb after reading about it in the owners manual - it looked very simple and indeed it was until I got to the point where you had to release a little wire retainer. I could see it just fine, but with my big hands, honetly I couldn't get it out. So, I brought it in to get you folks to replace the bulb for me. I explained my situation to Lincy and she looked at it in the service reception area, reached it and in about 5 seconds handed me the bulb. She asked if she could put the new one in, Of course I said yes, and indeed in another 2 minutes it was in and working perfectly. I told the main service guy she needed a raise (she had saved me $110 dollars in 3 minutes. ) Based on that I went ahead and checked in my car to have the water pump replaced that was noted on the previous evaluation. 350.00 later I took my prius home. Perfect. I'd also like to thank the service manager (I believe his name was Hoffman) who found a slot to work my car in (I had no appt) to get the water pump replaced. He also got me a shuttle to run me home for a few hours and they picked me up. Both of the shuttle drivers were so nice, and I thoroughly enjoyed both rides. Please don't punish Lincy for replacing the bulb. As a service check in person, she's probably not supposed to simply do the repair! Now if this thing had been a passenger side headlight bulb I probably wouldn't have even tried to do this myself because the owner's manual states you have to remove stuff! However, the owner's manual says the driver side one is not hard (it wasn't) and it has a set of explanatory pictures! PS. I would wonder if you shouldn't reassess the 110 dollars of labor I was told it took to replace the bulb! I really like your dealership. I've been in many times, helped my daughter Sarah Turner buy a RAV4 there a few years ago, and this experience simply cements my attitudes. Hal R. Sessions, III, MD More

FINALLY! Someone who heard me 2 years ago a used car dealership took complete advantage of me. I realized I was extremely upside down on the car and by the time it was paid off it 2 years ago a used car dealership took complete advantage of me. I realized I was extremely upside down on the car and by the time it was paid off it would've coated me more than $35000 for a used 2012 Toyota Yaris. The car itself had no issues and was actually a great car in great condition, but definitely NOT a $35000 car. Taylor Robins listened to what I needed and heard what I was saying. I got exactly what I needed and am finally out from under a finance company and in a lease. I know from experience that getting out of a negative equity situation is next to impossible but Taylor pulled it off and I am forever grateful to Beaverton Toyota for what they did for me. More
