His response to the error was unprofessional and confrontational. The second manager that approached me was equally unprofessional. Both John Canwell and James Harding show no concern for customer service or respect to customers. It is unacceptable for me to give my money to a business that values customer service so little. I walked. And, I would still like to hear from the general manager of Beaverton Toyota, Russ Humberston, so that I can explain what happened. Perhaps sharing my experience will help other customers avoid the same negative experience - some coaching is clearly needed here. This was our first time car buying experience so naturally we were a little nervous and prepared to face the stereotypical bold car salesmen. Fortunately, that was the complete opposite from what we faced. David and his crew were very friendly and welcoming to answer any question we had. Never did we feel pressured to buy something we were uncomfortable with, nor unwilling to pay for. We are very excited about our new RAV4 and continuing our relationship with the Beaverton Toyota family! More

Each experience was great; what happened last Saturday exceeded even the previous service. I was sitting in a remote parking lot east of Cascade Locks with my elderly mother. We had stopped to enjoy the view. When I tried to turn the car on, the ENGINE light came on. I tried all the normal tricks like putting the key in the slot, hitting the Park button to no avail. A quick check in the manual told me to take the car to the dealer, not an attractive prospect in these circumstances. My first call was to the trusty service department at Beaverton Toyota. The woman in the service department confirmed that I needed to get the car to the dealer. She then went on to say that I should first check the gas cap. If the cap was not closed completely, making an audible click, it could trigger the engine light error. Sure enough, that was the case. I was so grateful for her willingness to be fully attentive and to offer her knowledge to help solve this problem. In keeping with my experience with all of the employees at Beaverton Toyota, this person seemed to really care about the outcome. I am sorry I didn't catch her name, but THANK YOU! you saved the day. More

Taken Care Of I went in to have LoJack installed and would need a loaner to get to work. I was well greeted and informed that someone would be with me in a moment. I went in to have LoJack installed and would need a loaner to get to work. I was well greeted and informed that someone would be with me in a moment. In a moment, Kyle, was there and put me into the system. He instructed me to wait in the service area and someone would call my name when the loaner car was ready. I noticed it was getting time for me to be on my way to work and I haven't been called for the loaner car. I went to the counter to inquire about the loaner car and there didn't seem to be one ready for me. So the nice gentleman asked Cindy if there was one on the books for me and there wasn't one. I informed Cindy that my main concern was to get to work. She said, "Come with me as I return a car back to the rental office and we will get you a car." She apologized for the small misplacing of my loaner car. That was nice but what was better was that when we got to the rental office Cindy nicely explained what had happened and that I needed to get to work very soon. The woman at the counter said, "No problem" and immediately expedited all the paperwork and had me in a loaner car (RAV4) in no time. It was a great feeling to have people own the situation and follow through with a positive and pleasant demeanor also no one was pointing fingers or blaming other departments for a small misplacement of a loaner car.
