BV Toyota will not service vehicles past a certain mileage or age. However, BV Toyota is better than most dealerships, most stop after 10 years or 200000 miles. BV Toyota work on my truck for 20 years and 500000 miles before showing my truck the door and refusing service. Car dealerships often refuse to work on older cars due to several factors: 1. Part Availability: Older vehicles may require parts that are no longer available from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), leading to the use of aftermarket or used parts, which may not be of the same quality. 2. Technological Limitations: Many dealerships are equipped with the latest technology and trained technicians for newer models. Older vehicles may not support the necessary diagnostics or software updates, making repairs more complex. 3. Liability Concerns: Dealerships may be hesitant to work on older vehicles due to the potential liability associated with repairs that may not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. 4. Profitability: Dealerships may prioritize working on newer models that offer higher profit margins and are less likely to require extensive repairs.
