I purchased a vehicle in July 2017, with an extended warranty, as well as the advantage customer maintenance plan that covers free oil changes. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment this morning, I was told my information was not in the system so I'd have to pay out of pocket for my oil change--mind you, I brought my vehicle in for an oil change in November, 2017 (was told the same thing then) and this "little mistake" was supposed to be notated and corrected then. After calling around in the finance department to contact the finance manager I purchased the agreement with (Enrique), I was told he wasn't in, and no one else could "find" the legal documents I signed with Enrique. I ended up speaking to Ceaser in the finance department, who proudly boasted about being a 15 year veteran, but couldn't assist me because he had no idea where the paperwork was housed. Needless to say, I had to drive back home, retrieve my documents, and drive back to the dealership to show them the documents they can't seem to find. They certainly didn't have any difficulty "finding" and "cashing" the check I wrote for the advantage plan, nor did they have difficulty receiving my down payment for the extended warranty I purchased with them. I have been immensely inconvenienced and frustrated and to add insult to injury, Steve Sherman, the Asst. Service Manager, stated, "I don't have a way to right this wrong." I will be lodging a formal complaint for the dealership's incompetence. More

Will never go back I purchased a 2018 Yukon Denali. All things considered, I got a good deal, which is why the rating is not ONE star! But the experience was ugly and I purchased a 2018 Yukon Denali. All things considered, I got a good deal, which is why the rating is not ONE star! But the experience was ugly and I will never go back because of the way they do business. To begin, the games they play getting to a final price is ridiculous. I walked in with a copy of the webpage and their price, plus 2 buy offers for my trade in from Direct Auto and Car Max. Their first offer to me was not only above the internet price, it was even above the MSRP listed online. Then their trade in offer was $4,000 below Car Max/Texas Direct. We were more than $15,000 apart! After 2 ½ hours, I had had enough and walked out! Shortly after I received a phone call. They wanted to work out a deal. And they said they would accept my final offer that included a specific price for the vehicle and my trade, before tax, title, etc. We both did a little give and take and the final offer was a very decent one. It wasn't what you would call exceptional, but they had the car I wanted, equipped the way I wanted, at a price in the neighborhood of what I was offering. But this is where it got ugly! At the time of agreeing to the deal, I told my salesmen that I did NOT, under any circumstances, want anything extra added to the price, TTL excluded of course. They assured me that would not happen. I usually pay cash for a vehicle, or arrange for my own financing. This time I decided to lease, which I was completely unfamiliar with. Everything looked fine, and the final lease numbers were close to what I was expecting, but I should have checked the numbers with a calculator, rather than assuming I wasn't being taken advantage of. Two items, totally over $900 were added in. I was NEVER informed of these additional items. The problem is that with the lease, over the length of the lease, this added very little to the monthly payments. When I realized all this the next day, it was too late....I signed everything, and was guilty of not checking every number, and trusting that the deal I agreed upon with my salesman would be the deal I was signing. I fell into the trap of looking primarily at the monthly lease cost! I would have never fallen for this had I paid cash, as I normally do, because you actually see the numbers more clearly! After this experience, when my lease is up, I will NOT be returning to Beck and Masten. I do have a beautiful vehicle, and people have already commented on it. But when they ask about where I got it, I just tell them I will NEVER go back! It truly is sad that a company that has been around as long as Beck and Masten, has to resort to underhanded tricks to suck a few more dollars out of their customers. This entire issue is not as much a matter of money, as it is a matter of ethics! This dealership sells hundreds of cars a month, so I don't think they care about return business. Well, this is one customer they will not see again! Update 3/1/2018. It is interesting that the owner responds to many of the reviews, which I thought was encouraging. However, if you look back it seems like the responses are canned responses. I received a response to mine saying, in essence, they wanted to make things right. I replied that day (26 Feb) with my phone number and that they could call anytime. As of today, I have heard nothing from them. Is the response to the reviews just a ploy to make them look better? I wonder! More

Changed paperwork on canceled extended warranty. Hurricane Harvey destroyed our 2015 Buick Lacrosse that had only 6000. miles on it. After 2 phone calls and a trip from Kingwood to their office, I Hurricane Harvey destroyed our 2015 Buick Lacrosse that had only 6000. miles on it. After 2 phone calls and a trip from Kingwood to their office, I received a notice that it was finally cancelled. However they had changed the miles from 6000 miles to 85000 miles causing a considerable drop in the refund. They have the records, the tires had never been rotated.
