We completely understand your concern. Some manufacturer-recommended maintenance services can be more expensive than others, and we understand that a cost of this amount can be surprising. For your 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, this is the manufacturer-recommended transmission service due at approximately 75,000 miles. This is more involved than a simple transmission fluid change. The service includes removing the transmission pan, replacing the transmission filter, and replacing the transmission fluid. We strongly encourage following Mitsubishi's recommended maintenance schedule, particularly when it comes to the transmission. When these transmissions are properly serviced and maintained, they are known for their longevity. Delaying or skipping the recommended transmission service can increase the risk of premature transmission problems and potentially much more expensive repairs in the future. We certainly understand that $800 is a significant maintenance expense. Please give us a call before deciding against the service. We would be happy to review the pricing with you, answer any questions about what is included, and discuss available payment options to see if we can make the service more manageable. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify what is involved in the service and hope you'll give us the opportunity to assist you.
