He did not agree to any price set forth or offered by you. This particular vehicle is "Ben Davis Certified". This means the vehicle has been serviced and has passed safety inspection. This also means the vehicle comes with a mechanical vehicle service contract as well as an interior care warranty. The tires on the vehicle meet safety standards. They are not new, but neither is the vehicle. We cannot justify taking off good tires and saddling the car with extra cost just to have new tires on the car. In most cases the Internet shopper is looking for the best value. If we do not maintain a visible and relevant approach to pricing and merchandising no one will show up to buy our cars. Good Afternoon, I am sorry for the car not being filled up with fuel. Our policy is to deliver purchased vehicles with no less than 1/4 tank of fuel. As far as the condition of the vehicle goes, they are all professionally detailed before going on to the lot for sale. Sometimes is they sit for 30 days, go on test drives ect. they get a little dirty. Our policy is to have our clean up department wash, sweep, and clean the windows for delivery. Swing by the dealership and I will have them spruce it up for you. I understand how it can be frustrating to see your vehicle for sale for more money that you were given for trade value. This is a common practice in a dealership. We certainly must make a profit to pay the staff, rent, utilities, & advertising. Also consider the reconditioning that MUST happen to get a vehicle ready to go on the lot. Our average reconditioning cost for trade-ins being prepared to go on the lot is over $1,500 per unit(detailing, safety inspection, lube, oil, filter, and other mechanical repairs). I am sure if you felt the deal was not fair, you would have said no. Our cars are priced well below market value, that is why most people visit our dealership. We cannot afford to pay more for cars than what we sell them for. Lastly, just because we ask a price for a car does not mean we sell it for that amount. We price our cars on day one, then we make price adjustments or discounts on day 14, 28, and every 7 days thereafter. There is a good chance that in 45 days we will sell your car for a loss. I can promise you we will not call you and ask for a check for the difference if that happens. Our gain or loss is not measurable, to where as the amount you received for your trade is fixed and guarantee on the day you traded it in. I am available in the dealership 6 days a week if you would like to discuss your concerns. We work hard to manage a profitable and ethical dealership.
