Made the transition from Pontiac/GM to Honda and it was one of the most pleasant and professional I've ever experienced. Matt spent several hours with me over two days going over ownership vs. leasing options. He was very, very relaxed, informative but yet authoritative. An experienced salesman, I would recommend him in an heartbeat. He finds out what the prospective customer wants then goes about matching needs and wants with productive service and availability. Exceptional service from GSM Scott Wells down through the financing staff, including Graham Lower. Couldn't be better. More

Jimmy is the BEST. I felt comfortable and at ease with Jimmy. He wasn't pushy, arrogant or "hard-a-hearing" (lol). He listened to what I wanted and he delivered. I wasn't going to do my financing with him Jimmy. He wasn't pushy, arrogant or "hard-a-hearing" (lol). He listened to what I wanted and he delivered. I wasn't going to do my financing with him but he delivered a rate I couldn't walk away from. I am happy with my Honda CR-V and every time I see it I smiled. It is exactly what i wanted. Jimmy will be my guy for the next Honda. He even has a customer for next year...my husband. Wonderful salesman and wonderful person. Thanks Jimmy. More

To name the sales person, "Val Goldenberg". This may be a lengthy email, but is needed to explain what I went through. I was a Massachusetts resident and had leased a 2011 Honda Civic from Bernadi Honda, Natick in 2011; My lease ends in March 2013. But due to my US visa situation, I had to leave the country by Sep 2012. I realized this situation a three months earlier and contacted Bernardi over phone to check my options. I was asked to stop by the dealer in person to get the answers and I did go there over a weekend. There I was told that my options are to 1) return the car and pay-off the remaining leasing amount, or 2) sell the car to Bernardi at market price and pay-off any differences to American Honda Finance. That person also mentioned that it is too early to finalize the option and I was asked to visit the dealer again a week or two before the planned car return date. Made sense (but can't this be conveyed over the phone?) and I waited till last week of August 2012. On 08/28, I again went to Bernardi showroom and I was introduced to the Used Cars Sales manager "Val Goldenberg", and there were few other Bernardi folks also with us. At this time, I had 6 lease payments pending(~$545, pay this from my pocket if I want to return the car to Honda). I explained him my situation. He evaluated the car and I was offered a price in which I will have to pay only $200 to American Honda. (Nice deal! I think car's residual value was $13,288. He was offering me $13,088) As I needed the car for another week, I asked if it is OK to return the car a week later. Fot that, he mentioned that car has to be re-valued for the new month (September) and the offering price may change. Understood and that's acceptable to me. I also enquired about the total processing time on the day of car return/sale (ie. re-value it and complete the sale) and I was told that it is just mere <30 mins. Just sign a document and leave. Ah, that's easy and I can use the car till the last moment. So I told Val and the group that I will return the Car on "Saturday, 09/07", which is the day I leave the country. No objections, everyone is fine with it. And the day comes, on 09/07 morning around 10 AM, I am here in Bernardi to return the car. I have the flight to catch in the afternoon. I asked for Val and I was told to wait for sometime as he was with other customers. I waited over 20 mins, and checked with someone again and was asked to wait for some more time. And they also mentioned that only Val can buy the car, no one else can help me (I didn't know that earlier, what I knew was there are always many reps available to assist customers). Later, in a while, one of them told me that I have to come back on Monday as they WILL NOT buy any cars that day. That really upset me and told him about my previous visit and the <30 to complete the sale story. In a while "Val Goldenberg" appeared, literally YELLING and SCREAMING AT ME, in front of all other customers, sales persons and everyone, asking who asked me to come on a Saturday and walked out saying he WONT buy my car. Pure arrogance!! This was the most embarrassing moment I had all my life... I never expected this kind of treatment anywhere, especially here at a car showroom. I was always used to a whole bunch of sales persons with all smiles and sweet talk when they needed my business. Here I am in need of a help and I am being yelled at and embarrassed. They know that I cannot come back on Monday. Nobody ever said not to visit on a Saturday! I was really frustrated and agitated, now selling the car is not an option, I just want to return it and leave. But they were not ready to take my car, unless I inform American Honda Finance about it. I tried reaching American Honda Finance, but it was unsuccessful as it is a holiday. No help there either. What do I do now? I asked the Bernardi Front desk, and they said they will buy the car from me and sent someone to me. To add salt to the wound he offered approximately $12,500 which makes me pay more than the remaining lease amount. I don't believe this was the real value of the car, they just wanted to show me the exit door. I took the car with me and parked at my friend's. After returning from USA, I spoke to American Honda from my home country, India and made my friend return the car at a another Honda Dealer. I am paying off my remaining lease amount. To add, this situation was mainly caused by incorrect information from the same person during my previous visit (i.e car return takes < 30 mins) any day. Had I known the difficulties, I would have come a day earlier. My six years of stay in US ended on such a bitter note. All I wanted was a peaceful journey back home, remembering all the good times I had during my stay; see what I have got. All because of one ARROGANT man, named "Val Golderberg" ! More
