After looking for 6 months for a 2006 Honda Pilot, Charlie at Bernardi phoned to tell us they had a specific vehicle for us. We went the very next day in late October 2008 and Pete Nannery showed us Charlie at Bernardi phoned to tell us they had a specific vehicle for us. We went the very next day in late October 2008 and Pete Nannery showed us the car. He was so professional, easy going and non pressuring. We sat for 10 minutes to negotiate the car. Pete came right down to our price almost $3,000 lower than sticker price for the car. No other dealerships were willing to come close for an 06 EXL Pilot. Plus there were many other people at the dealership looking interested in our car and I'm sure Bernardi could have easily sold it for more money. Then after meeting with financing, they brought our rate way down after we pointed out other dealerships who were offering a much lower rate for used cars. The finance mgr did stress that we earned the lower rate because of our excellent credit score. Pete delivered the car to our home, an hour away, a few days later. Last Sunday 1/4/09, our vehicle died in a parking lot. After having it Jump started, we drove it to Honda North in Danvers. They said in order to properly diagnose the problem, they would need to remove the non factory alarm. it would be $298 to remove the alarm plus $140 to diagnose the problem. the alarm was not covered under the extended new car warranty and it was understandable since it was not a honda, factory alarm. i decided to give bernardi honda a call knowing they were not obligated to do anything. Rick Voss, the service director, not only helped, but took over my communications with Honda North. He authorized them to take the alarm out, replace the now malfunctioning battery and left us with the standard honda alarm. 2 days after picking up the car, i received a check for the total $438.38 from Bernardi. Rick Voss kept saying, "we want customers for life." my husband and i have had some negative dealings with car dealerships in the past and have had a bad opinion of them. Rick Voss and Pete Nannery and of course Charlie have all changed that. Thanks so much guys!!! You are bringing a good name and reputation back to your industry!!!! Thanks for being so honest, profesional and saving us a huge financial headache we could have had. we strongly reccomend Bernardi Honda for sales and service no matter how far you have to drive. More
My family has been toyota customers for the past 20 years, but in about an hour Scott and Brian were able to offer me a better deal for a better car, the 2009 honda CR-V. Everyone at the dealership is so professional and they are truly willing to work with you on pricing. The building is clean, nice and comfortable. Scott was extremely honest about pricing and Brian was quick with getting the car ready for me to pick up. As far as dealerships go, this place has their head on straight and they are getting a whole lot of business for their professionalism and for the quality of their cars. Don't waste your time at other dealers, the car you are looking for is probably at the Bernardi dealer. More
The Service Department at Bernardi Honda is the best. I have owned several cars over my lifetime and I have not been to a better dealership. Bernardi Honda goes above and beyond. Justed leased a honda for my college age son and wanted a very affordable lease since he's going to pay for some of it. I absolutely hate shopping for a new car, however, my experience at Bernardi was easy, efficient and enjoyable. I visited a number of dealerships trying to find a suitable Pilot. I was getting very discouraged because I could not find what I was looking for. I had an informative conversation with Charlie with regards to my options on a Sunday and by Monday afternoon I found, purchased and was driving away with a Pilot which suited my needs! Janet was extremely patient and understanding. She took the time necessary to make sure all of my questions were answered. When negotiating price, Janet and Charlie were able to match the price a competitor offered and did not waste my time with a prolonged negotiation. After the price was agreed upon, Janet actually had the car ready and waiting for me to take home when I arrived! The gentleman who handled my financing was knowledgeable, financing was easy and I was able to get a great rate. Thank you Janet and Charlie for making my car shopping experience enjoyable! More
I had sweet and sour meatball sauce all over the passenger rug in my car. The Mgr. helped me with scheduling a cleaning and also, made sure the new floor mats i purchased, were installed in the car passenger rug in my car. The car was cleaned and shampped and smelled wonderfully when I took it home. The stain from the sauce was gone. I had a very nice outcome and would recommend this dealer to anyone. More
Buying a car can certainly be a nervewracking experience, and though it was not without its stresses, of course, I am extremely pleased I chose to buy my car at Bernardi Honda and, moreso, that Denis Swift w and though it was not without its stresses, of course, I am extremely pleased I chose to buy my car at Bernardi Honda and, moreso, that Denis Swift was my salesperson. Denis guided my father (my wingman) and me through the entire buying process with patience and sincerity -- that can be difficult to come by when buying cars. Denis was informative and fair-minded and answered every question with a measured response, not a sales pitch. He allowed us to take our time in the decision-making process, which was extremely helpful to me, as this was my first car. Everyone at Bernardi Honda was extremely friendly and welcoming. I knew I wanted a Honda Accord, and all that was left to decide was where to buy it. I went to a few other dealers before settling on Bernardi. I bought my car there because of Denis Swift. A car is a car, but it's the people who you buy it from and the people who will be servicing it that make the difference, in terms of it being a good or a bad experience. I never once felt taken advantage of, pressured or anything negative at all. As I mentioned, buying a car is stressful enough, you don't need it made more stressful by dealing with people you feel you can't trust or who don't know what they're doing -- at Bernardi, I felt like I was walking into a well-run shop with happy, straightforward employees. And, I love my car. More
We bought a 2009 Honda Fit from Bernardi Honda. Michael Perry helped us find the car we were looking for. Mike was super easy to talk to -- not pushy at all. i had a 30,000 mile check up as well as a recall for a water pump. while the service was performed to standards, my car was returned dirty. usually, the car is vacuumed and paper is put down on the floors water pump. while the service was performed to standards, my car was returned dirty. usually, the car is vacuumed and paper is put down on the floors while the service is done. there was no evidence of this. my carpets were sandy and the car was dusty.
