Erik was very helpful in setting up my service. I brought my vehicle for after-hours service (where they offer 10% off). When Erik found out I had no way of getting home if I were to drop off my car, he arranged for a loaner car. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I feel like I got Mercedes level service at my Honda dealership. More
1/31/2009 I was interested in seeing whether it would make sense for me to end my lease early to get into a new car given the current aggressive pricing. I talked to Charlie on Jan 24th who was very informative over the phone, we discussed my situation and he was going to then discuss it with his sales manager, Mr McGilvery, and get back to me later in the day which was a Saturday. He never called. I assumed it just got busy and I'd be hearing from him the next day. It didn't happen. I called back on Monday, was told Charlie wasn't available, I left two numbers where he could reach me. A week later and he hasn't called. I realize my situation was unusual and it may not have made sense for me to end my lease, but I was OK with that so he had no reason to not call back. These results are certainly different from their normal level of service, but it did happen. update 2/3/2009 I entered the first part of this review after not receiving a return call for a week and got a callback from Charlie within 15 minutes of doing so. He apologized, explaining that a personal situation had taken him out of the office for a few days. We took up where we had left off, reviewing my financing requirements and after running some numbers it did not appear that it made sense for me to get out of my lease early. I was prepared to walk away without any hard feelings. The next day I got a call from Ted McGilvery, Sales Manager, who had just seen my review and asked if we could continue the discussion. We did, and got close enough to my financing requirements that it made sense for me to go to the dealership for further discussions. Since I hadn't actually driven the car I was interested in up to that point, Ted put me in the very capable hands of Denis Swift, a sales and leasing consultant. I can't say enough good things about Denis. Having worked for Bernardi for 19 years, his Honda product knowledge was very extensive. He told me things about the car I had been driving for two years that I wasn't even aware of. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer about the Accord I was considering. If you ever have any questions as to why you should consider a Honda, talk to Denis. Ted and I then continued our negotiations and I'm very pleased to say that he worked very hard to put together a deal and I drove away from the dealership in my new Accord Ex-L. Bernardi has certainly demonstrated to me that they take their customer satisfaction VERY seriously. More
I went to the dinner in Bernardi had in Sept and they gave me a coupon just for being there so I needed my first oil change and set an appt with them. I thought for sure it was a scam, they would find gave me a coupon just for being there so I needed my first oil change and set an appt with them. I thought for sure it was a scam, they would find a way that I couldn’t use it like the other shops I have been to, but I was wrong! It saved me money and they took less time than they said it would! I had to order some parts for my 2007 Honda Accord. I called Bernardi Honda in Natick and spoke with customer service rep. Erik Richards. He was so helpful and very polite. Bernardi Honda is the best! I've compared prices and their's are lower for the services, and their service is higher! They have comfortable waiting areas with TV, internet, and beverages and snacks. As anyone at Bernardi can attest to, I did my research before buying my car. I went to at least five dealers, had competitive quotes from all of them, and then I came to Bernardi. Well, my search stopped before buying my car. I went to at least five dealers, had competitive quotes from all of them, and then I came to Bernardi. Well, my search stopped there. I was greeted when I walked in the showroom at 9am on a Saturday morning and was promptly introduced to the BEST salesman put on this planet. The one and only Muhammed Ali. He was so nice, listened to what I was looking for and the numbers I presented. Then I met Jeff, also incredibly nice and conversational. Then I met Scott who along with Muhammed kept me laughing while he told me everything I needed to know about Bernardi and their reputation. Well, everything he said was exactly right. Everyone I met put me at ease with what had been, up to that time, a very stressful purchasing process. Sad to say that buying a car as a single woman, you still encounter the cliched slimy salesmen. I came back to Bernardi later that day, after speaking to yet another dealer who, although they could match the price, the customer service was so far lacking what I had already experienced with Muhammed and Scott, that I had already decided they were getting my business. I was never once pressured to buy any extras that I was not comfortable with and even the meeting with the "money guy" George was completely easy and actually enjoyable. At the end of the day, I cannot be more happy with the experience I had at Bernardi, am in love with my 2009 Civic EX-L, and will not go anywhere else for service. I will most definitely recommend Bernardi and Muhammed to anyone who is even considering buying a car. I can't thank Muhammed enough for helping me with buying my car. I have only ever owned Honda Civics (the one I just traded in had 153,000 miles on it) and I will continue to be a Honda girl all the way. After looking for 6 months for a 2006 Honda Pilot, Charlie at Bernardi phoned to tell us they had a specific vehicle for us. We went the very next day in late October 2008 and Pete Nannery showed us Charlie at Bernardi phoned to tell us they had a specific vehicle for us. We went the very next day in late October 2008 and Pete Nannery showed us the car. He was so professional, easy going and non pressuring. We sat for 10 minutes to negotiate the car. Pete came right down to our price almost $3,000 lower than sticker price for the car. No other dealerships were willing to come close for an 06 EXL Pilot. Plus there were many other people at the dealership looking interested in our car and I'm sure Bernardi could have easily sold it for more money. Then after meeting with financing, they brought our rate way down after we pointed out other dealerships who were offering a much lower rate for used cars. The finance mgr did stress that we earned the lower rate because of our excellent credit score. Pete delivered the car to our home, an hour away, a few days later. Last Sunday 1/4/09, our vehicle died in a parking lot. After having it Jump started, we drove it to Honda North in Danvers. They said in order to properly diagnose the problem, they would need to remove the non factory alarm. it would be $298 to remove the alarm plus $140 to diagnose the problem. the alarm was not covered under the extended new car warranty and it was understandable since it was not a honda, factory alarm. i decided to give bernardi honda a call knowing they were not obligated to do anything. Rick Voss, the service director, not only helped, but took over my communications with Honda North. He authorized them to take the alarm out, replace the now malfunctioning battery and left us with the standard honda alarm. 2 days after picking up the car, i received a check for the total $438.38 from Bernardi. Rick Voss kept saying, "we want customers for life." my husband and i have had some negative dealings with car dealerships in the past and have had a bad opinion of them. Rick Voss and Pete Nannery and of course Charlie have all changed that. Thanks so much guys!!! You are bringing a good name and reputation back to your industry!!!! Thanks for being so honest, profesional and saving us a huge financial headache we could have had. we strongly reccomend Bernardi Honda for sales and service no matter how far you have to drive. More
