When we did need to go inside, he wiped down everything himself in front of us, to give us peace of mind, and ensured all of the staff nearby had their masks on and were aware that I wanted to keep my distance. This is my 3rd leases vehicle from Bernardi Honda and as they say, 3rd times a charm. I've always had a positive experience, but this time it just felt over the top exceptional. It all started when I test drove the exact color I had wanted, but didn't even know they had. (Sonic Gray CRV) No one asked me a color preference for a test drive, so this was entirely serendipitous but nonetheless it really started things off right. Matt was really great to work with. He was really "normal" which is a weird thing to say about someone, but what I mean is that he wasn't pushy, wasn't trying to up-sell me and he didn't talk like a sales person. Conversation felt genuine and easy. Like he just loved his job and these cars and he was cool with whatever I wanted. Attention car salespeople - this is exactly what we want! I'm always hesitant to want to add anything on because I feel like I'm being pressured and I don't like that. In fact, I refuse to cave and give in, even if what they're selling is worth it because I want to feel like the winner! Because of Matt's approach, I just went for it and it felt great. Marc in finance was exactly the same way!! I have felt pressured to get maintenance plans or extra coverage before. Not this time! I've always wanted a decent maintenance package but on principle I've passed them down. Again, I want it to be my choice and not a pressure. This time I literally just said "let's do it!"
