Worse than one star! In September I went to Bernardi Honda to test drive a 2020 Fit. I was told there would be no 2020 Fits until January. On Friday, January 31, 2020, I went to Bernardi Honda ready to buy a Fit. I talked to the Salesperson who helped me in September. I told him I was ready to buy the Fit if the price was OK. We talked a bit and I showed the salesperson a price I got from another Honda dealer. He had to go see his Manager to see if he could match that price. (Like I just fell off the turnip truck.) I said, "You are going to use that old routine on me?" He insisted he had to see his manager. I twiddled my thumbs for a few minutes. Surprise, the salesperson returned with his manager. The manager did the obligatory small talk and eventually told me he could meet the other dealer's price. I told him he had to beat the other dealer's price. He did by $200.00. I told him to do the paperwork. I had to write a personal check for $1500.00 to get the wheels turning for the paperwork. I had to listen to a Financial Person offer me multiple additional items I might want to purchase totaling greater than 45% of the purchase price of the car. I declined all of them. Four hours after I walked into the dealership I was presented a purchase and sales agreement. The P&S still had an additional cost of about $100.00 for wheel locks. I told them I don't want wheel locks. He had to go see the Sales Manager to get it removed because, "All new cars come with wheel locks." While I was waiting I read over the P&S line by line. They were trying to sell me a 2019 Fit not a 2020 Fit . Was this the old bait and switch routine? When the Financial guy came back he had the Sales Manager and the Sales Person with him to discuss the wheel locks. They were blocking the room exit. I told them that I didn't want a 2019 I only wanted a 2020. They tried to talk me into a 2019. I emphatically stated I didn't want a 2019 and asked them to give me back my check for $1500 so I could leave. They couldn't do that because the check was in a deposit lock box. High pressure now ... ... They told me they would sell me a 2020 Fit for $500.00 more than the P&S had for the price of a 2019 Fit, but didn't have any in stock (surprise). I told them I would have to think about it. I went home. It was Friday night and over four hours at the dealership, I was mentally tired and angry at the switch to a 2019 Fit. Tuesday morning, February 4, 2020, I got a call from the salesperson and was told they have a 2020. Yada, yada. I agreed to buy it but I couldn't make it to the dealership until 2:15pm and I couldn't stay for more than two hours. I made it pellucid that I had to leave by 4:15pm. I showed up at 2:10pm. The sales person I had previously dealt with was not there. Someone else serviced me. I iterated to him, I had to leave by 4:15pm. Their response, it will be tight but we can do it. I gave them a bank check for the vehicle and waited, and waited. At 4:10pm I told them I had to leave, either give me the car or my check back. Not so nice things were said to me and about me. I got the bank check back, but not the $1500.00 initial down payment. I have started a small claims court action to get my $1500.00 back. Bernardi Honda must think I enjoy sitting around the dealership. More
True to Their Word I had called prior to my driving to Bernardi Honda in Natick. I was coming a good distance to purchase a leftover Honda Ridgeline. I insisted to speak to a sales manager so I would not lose out on the vehicle I was driving to see. His name was Scott Wells and assured me that he would hold that vehicle until I got there a couple hours later. When I arrived, the vehicle was out front and he had designated a great sales person named Mark Vincent. I had one of these back in 2008 that I bought from Bernardi. There was a lot more technology and it was a totally different vehicle and Mark took his time showing me the new features and demonstrating them . We had pre-determined a price on the new vehicle, but they hadn’t seen my trade as of yet. Well, the bottom line is they did not try to rob me or give me any unreasonable offer. I’m so happy that I called them again. I did not have a good experience where I recently retired to in Vermont and thought it would be worth the drive because I had a good experience the first time. I’m still smiling and I’ve gotten a couple follow-up calls to see how I’m doing with it. Top shelf! More

Monica is the best car salesperson I’ve worked with, and I’ve worked with several. There is no hard sell. Monica worked patiently with me, finding me a better car than I originally came to see. Unprepared I felt through my time at Bernardi Honda that the dealership was unprepared. My salesman did not know a lot about the vehicle I was test-driving and w I felt through my time at Bernardi Honda that the dealership was unprepared. My salesman did not know a lot about the vehicle I was test-driving and was not able to answer all of my questions. I felt somewhat pushed into buying my vehicle, not being given many options or conversations while my salesman cut off my fiance and my questions. On the day of picking up the vehicle, the car did not start which led us to wait another hour to take home my new car. In addition, there was sand, dirt, fingerprints, etc on the inside of my car when I was assured it had been detailed. Overall, I am happy I got my car but I am unhappy at the persistence and unprofessionalism that I was faced with. More

Matt presented a very buyer friendly experience. Starting from driving to my town with the vehicle to allow for a more accessible test drive. Next he negotiated a fair value for my trade which progressed my from driving to my town with the vehicle to allow for a more accessible test drive. Lastly, he kept an open line of communication all the way through the purchase and follow up for the vehicle. I would highly recommend this buying experience! More
