I had a Volvo for 6 years and in the time I had it I needed to do a lot of repairs that I hardly understood. It was my fault for not shopping around and knowing then what I know now, I would find a different way to take care of my car. The most disturbing aspect are the prices quoted. I ended up driving down to Rhode Island to Tasca in Cranston to get better prices and more friendly and caring service. When I first came in to the dealer I dealt with Dave and he was fabulous in taking care of my needs and explaining things carefully, but when he left, my remaining interactions were very discouraging forcing me to look for alternatives as far as Rhode Island. I didn't have to fix anything they worked on so the quality of work I think is good, but that is the only positive aspect of this dealership. If you want a Volvo or need to repair one, find another dealer. More
Today was my second visit to Lee Volvo for a service on my Volvo CrossCountry wagon. I have to say I was pleased with my visit the first time in and even more pleased the second time, today. I spoke to my Volvo CrossCountry wagon. I have to say I was pleased with my visit the first time in and even more pleased the second time, today. I spoke to Becca in reception and I must say this woman is delightful. What a friendly and helpful attitude she possesses. Surely a great asset to her the dealership. She makes a great first impression since most clients speak to her first. I also would like to comment on my positive and helpful interactions with Mark, the Service Advisor who has always been very personable and helpful. He too is a great asset to the dealership. Last but not least, I would like to mention Kenny and Carlos for their friendliness and service and I hope anyone who needs to use Lee Volvo's service department has just as pleasurable an experience. deceptive service practices - i would never recommend that someone go to lee for service. they just sold me 4 tires for $1300. i do not race, i do not need specialty tires, i am an average driver. whe that someone go to lee for service. they just sold me 4 tires for $1300. i do not race, i do not need specialty tires, i am an average driver. when i complained and said i was not paying for these tires, they said they would not replace them with something less expensive (but they could put back on my old tires). since farrell dealership, about 10 miles down the road, could do tires for nearly half the price, i was tempted; but between all of the service charges and alignment charge it did not make economic sense. mark was a liar and marcus passively listened and offered no accomodations on the price. i will never go back and actively recommend against them. My wife and I (we are in our late twenties) bought a volvo from this dealership. Previously, several cars had been purchased from this dealership by other members of my family with my input. I had high volvo from this dealership. Previously, several cars had been purchased from this dealership by other members of my family with my input. I had high hopes after these earlier experiences, and was severely disappointed by my latest experience there. The people we worked with were incredibly difficult to reach. More often than not, they didn't even bother to return voicemails. Even the service manager failed to respond to our voicemails. When we were picking up our new volvo, we learned that Lo Jack wasn't installed because they couldn't get a tech down to install it. They promised to call us the next Monday to let us know when they could have a tech on site to install it. They never called. After finally getting a hold of them, we learned that they had contract issues with Lo Jack and therefore they would have to refund the fee. They promised that we would have a refund check by a particular date. That date passed by last week, and we have yet to see a check. And that is where we are at... More
I can't say enough good things about John and Lauren. They were very warm and personable and made us feel like long lost friends. My wife and I only met with them for under 2 hours (and a few e-mails and phone calls) and we felt like we've known them for years. We really wish we could have closed the deal with them but, it just didn't work out. Their offer was a shade better but, the other dealer is close by and offered lifetime free car washes which was tough to match. Had the other dealer not been so close by for us to take advantage of this benefit we would have closed the deal with John and Lauren. We will be purchasing another Volvo within the next year or so (plus or minus) and will definitely consider Lee Volvo for this next purchase. We really felt comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. John and Lauren are everything you'd ever want as an employee with their knowledge and professionalism. More
I have owned 2 previous Volvo V70 station wagons (1996 and 2003) and I decided it was time for a new one; I am giving my 2003 V70 to my daughter; it is still in great shape (and the 1996 V70 was just reti and 2003) and I decided it was time for a new one; I am giving my 2003 V70 to my daughter; it is still in great shape (and the 1996 V70 was just retired this week, by my sister, with over 200,000 miles on it). I visited Lee Volvo because they had the largest inventory of new 2010 Volvo V70 and XC70 station wagons of the three dealers in my area. I took a couple of cars for a short test drive. I was able to find an XC70 in a great color (green) at a great end-of-model-year price. I found Lauren Fitzgerald and her colleagues at Lee Volvo to be friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the transaction. When I had to make some choices among various options, I never felt any pressure from them to go in any particular direction; they just gave me the information that I needed. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. More
Beware! Poor service. Very poor customer relations. I would go to any other Volvo service center and save yourself the pain! My car was serviced by Lee Volvo and I then found out that if they had taken precautions and replaced some parts while it was still under warantee I would not have had the severe issues that I had later. Whatever you do - don't give them your car keys! Went in and test drove a Volvo V70, was very impressed by the car. Sat down with salesman to discuss price, who until this point was very charming and gracious (aren't they all). I was actually ready to buy that day. Salesman was joined by a younger man and salesman told me that while we discussed the price a Lee mechanic would go over my trade-in and come back and tell me what they would give me towards the new Volvo. Salesman took my keys and handed them to someone. We began discussions about price and at that point both guys tried to force/pressure me into signing a purchase agreement for options I didn't want before they would give me my keys back. Felt like a hostage situation, I definitely felt ambushed. Refused, and kept refusing to sign anything and after going back and forth they finally threw my keys on the table and I left the dealership. Ended up buying a Honda Odyssey 2 days later (which will be in another dealership review). Very bad experience! Plus check out the back parking lot after a heavy, heavy, rain. More
I called to schedule an appointment for a 60 month service - a big one - and asked for a quote. The appointment clerk told me a figure of around $495. When I arrived with my car on the day of my ser service - a big one - and asked for a quote. The appointment clerk told me a figure of around $495. When I arrived with my car on the day of my service, the service clerk (Mark) told me the service would cost around $750-800. I protested, and he told me "that's what we quote" although I told him that's not what they quote, because that's not what I was quoted over the phone. He said "I don't know who would have quoted you that" to which I replied "Your appointment person, the same person who always answers the phone." In any case, shame on me for not leaving right away. In any case, at around 1:00 pm Lee Volvo calls and says I need both the front and rear brakes, and a service to the transmission. Again, my gut says no, but for some inexplicable reason I believe that I could need new brakes after 60k miles. In any case, Volvo extracted $2400 from me for routine service that day. I was complicit, but I strongly encourage everyone to AVOID LEE VOLVO. More
I worked purely with the internet contact John Vozzella. After a handful of emails going back and forth negotiating the exact specs of a S40 2.4i, we came to an agreement. An appointment was setup for a dep After a handful of emails going back and forth negotiating the exact specs of a S40 2.4i, we came to an agreement. An appointment was setup for a deposit and John was able to attend to me immediately once I arrived at the dealership. The paperwork was done in advance so I was in and out of the dealership within 30 minutes. This is really how it should be done. John is a true professional and he definitely represented Lee Volvo well. I hope the finance department will be as smooth as it has been so far. I will recommend this dealership, totally worth the drive in my opinion. More
