The new salesman we'd dealt with, did a fine job, being new. His floor manager also assisted. However, we'd been hesitant to buy a 2nd car from Ron Carter, due to paperwork issues when we'd purchased our new Tucson in 2012. We thought maybe that was a fluke and gave them a 2nd chance, since they had the car we wanted and are a short drive. We were wrong. Selling is about relationships. When the customer feels they're not valued or have been poorly treated, there is no trust, repeat sale(s) and or good referrals. Hyundai has good cars. We love your cars, not pleased with the purchase experience. Some of the points on the 2016 purchase: After being there a lengthy period, it turned out in Finance that they'd not used our bank as requested. Seemed like the numbers changed, when he redid the loan through our bank. I'd even questioned this, when he showed us the screen. It appears--after the fact--that we really got screwed on the price. That's our bad for not walking away...we were tired. Attention to detail: Lacking. I'd noticed after a week that our trade-in had not been paid off. I contacted bank and dealership. I did receive return calls from a couple folks. One responded saying, "We don't overnight the payoffs...we move over 500 cars per month." "We could not afford to keep the lights on, if we overnighted the payoffs." That said, we'd purchased on 5/28 and the payment credited on 6/13. Given the number of days, there was still a balance due. I've left a message for the contacts I have from the dealership. Lack of attention to detail was a repeat issue: They'd not completed all paperwork the last time. On the prior purchase in 2012, the dealership had sold our paid off trade-in at auction and the title was not transferred to the dealership, for some reason. When someone attempted to purchase that vehicle, we were then contacted by County. In order to show we no longer owned said vehicle, paperwork to clear this up was required on my end, which I then sent to the State. Overall: After purchasing a new vehicle, we should be happy with the purchase, not feel that we were slighted or have to chase down the paperwork, to ensure completion. I was told at the Dealership that this survey is about how only the sales people performed. I disagree. The whole process matters! I was in sales a long time, I was that person that had to answer if the whole team did not follow through. It hurt my commission and our business. Due to that, I believe in providing real feedback. Otherwise, there is no way to address issues. More
